  1. They should have hung it up after the bass player quit.
  2. My faves: "Take Me With You When You Go" The Jayhawks "Pictures of You" The Cure Pretty much the entire Gear Daddies catalog
  3. Tone's in the hands, baby. <ducking> I thought the exact same thing. If I played through a Gorilla practice amp it would sound like ass. Slash plays through it and sounds like Slash.
  4. Green Day - American Idiot Kings of Leon - Only By The Night Jayhawks - Hollywood Town Hall My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade Sugar - Copper Blue Def Leppard - Hysteria and Pyromania U2 - pretty much all of 'em and the one I get a ton of crap for... The Hooters - Nervous Night
  5. I bought the Bullet For My Valentine album after hearing the single "Hearts Burst Into Fire". Damn good song, and great playing on the album, but I ain't a Cookie Monster guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_GJyUK0GUI
  6. If you make it to Long Island, try the iced tea. I hear it's fabulous. Don't miss the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island museum. I wanted to resist all the "tourist" traps, but it was a pretty moving experience.
  7. Wasn't that pic taken at the Lambda Lambda Lambda house at Adams College? This must have been before Booger joined.
  8. Wasn't there a "flying W" made for Watson as well - a doubleneck flying v? I think I remember seeing pics of that one...
  9. I'll include you in the nightly bedtime prayers with my daughter. There has to be a ton of mojo in the prayers of a 3 year old.
  10. Call me a geek, but I was in 8th grade when 5150 came out and I still love it. Sammy sang his ass off.
  11. On behalf of singers everywhere, I would like to offer a hearty thank you!
  12. Mr. we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again...
  13. Jeff Cease, Marc Ford and Johnny Colt from the Black Crowes.
  14. I have always been partial to "Calypso" and "Farewell Andromeda". I have a compilation of mid-90's Minneapolis bands doing Denver covers called "Minneapolis Does Denver" which is pretty fantastic. I would burn it for any fans out there...
  15. I have always had a fondness for U2's "Rattle and Hum. Sure it has it's cheesy parts (Graceland), but there is nothing like seeing a great band at the top of their game. I also enjoy Green Day's "Bullet In A Bible", although it suffers from MTV type editing.
  16. It hit me like a ton of bricks one night when I was singing "Youth Gone Wild" with my cover band - at 34 I was neither youthful or particularly wild. It was promptly dropped from the set list.
  17. Sharing the love... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hU8vOQNvd3c
  18. Frickin' "Windy" by the Association. I was on vacation last week and the only station I could get was an oldies station. Must have heard that damn song 5 times and now it won't leave me alone.
  19. I didn't forget them - they get played during every hockey game in the country! That's HUGE, right?!? Plus they are playing RibFest - that's also HUGE!
  20. The Refreshments Drivin N Cryin The Poorboys Jason and the Scorchers Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers
  21. If she were a president, she would be Babe-raham Lincoln.
