  1. My mind is never functioning correctly, all I can come up with is "Fendrix".
  2. Would love to hear that whole story.
  3. What are your 2011 HFC Year in Review highlights? HFC score of the year? Funniest post? Best Video Posted?
  4. In the "Hard Day's Night" chord thread, Randy Bachman says he was granted access to the original Beatles source tapes. His choice of that chord was cool. If George Martin's son gave you access to one song or part, what would you want to listen to?
  5. Congratulations! It's gorgeous!
  6. Never got into motorcycles, never heard of it, but very cool! You never know what you might learn at the HFC! How much did it sell for?
  7. Thanks for the review. That's another "one of these days" items I'd like to have. Here's a review in Premiere Guitar
  8. Not too many... 1974 Univox (blown up) 1975-ish? Some Peavey practice amp (given away) 1975 Ampeg V-4 (bought new, still have) 1988 Carvin SX-100 (bought new, still have... ordered it just before I got married... it arrived during our honeymoon and was waiting when we returned... "what's that?!!! You ordered it without telling me?!!!... boy, was I in trouble!!!) Some other Peavey practice amp (Still have, gave to my brother) 2003-ish Rivera Fandango 2x12 combo (still have) Roland Microcube (still have) Vox VT-30 (still have)
  9. Gibby site: Elliot Easton Interview
  10. Have Hamer, Will Hack Hack: To play inexpert guitar
  11. In case you haven't seen it... Here's how he does it: Brian Setzer Sleepwalk
  12. Sleepwalk is the first thing I would play with that super cool Newport!
  13. New Van Halen Album
  14. A while back, I mentioned that for the first time, I went to a local jam and nobody said a word about my Artist Custom. Well, this time I took the 12 String DuoTone, and just plugged the acoustic side directly into the PA. Everybody loved it! One guy came right across the room and asked to play it. Another guy said it was cool looking. The drummer said it sounded great. Each month everbody picks 3 songs. For the DuoTone, I picked "You Can't Do That". Guess I'll bring that from now on!
  15. So, how many "real" members are there?
  16. Top 50 Acoustic Guitarists
  17. Found this when searching for Hamer pics: Is it an early Hamer logo?
  18. Oh, well. Just a wishful thought.
  19. I got a '59 LP Plan Drawing from StewMac years ago. It's pretty cool, except that it should've been delivered in a tube (it comes folded). Has Hamer ever offered working drawings? An Artist Custom plan would be boss!
  20. This wasn't really a "facing the firing squad final request" idea here. "for some reason or another" is why it's your last concert. "My wife won't let me go to any more", you're being transferred to a parallel universe, etc. will suffice.
  21. Let's say, for some reason or another, you can only see one more concert in your lifetime. Your tickets are free! (Great seats, too!) Who's it gonna be? Someone you've never seen? Someone you've seen before? The person/group has to still be alive. Might happen events (if Cream or The Police ever reunite again, etc) are okay, I guess. What venue would you pick? I'd have to take the whole family to see Sir Paul. I used to sing Beatles stuff to my kids when they were little, but never played Beatles albums. Anyway, one time we were in the car, and the radio starts playing "I'll Follow The Sun". My daughter (maybe 3 at the time) yelled out "It's Daddy!"
  22. "That's why we have to always play better than them. You guys both blew their proverbial doors off right?" Uh, no. My name isn't "Hamerhack" for nothing! (How do you get just a part of someone's post to be a quote? The whole post comes up when I try to quote someone.)
  23. I don't think I've heard or seen of anything like that! Good job getting out to play. I shoulda mentioned the trem was not original.
  24. In my continuing efforts to get outta the living room, for the first time, I went to a local jam that's held monthly. It's an open invitation jam, and there were 5 guitars (including me) one keyboard guy, one drummer, no bass player, and one guy on just vocals. All classic rock stuff... it was fun (but LOUD!) Anyway, as the "new guy", I commented on the 3 Les Pauls there. One gold top with Firebird pickups and a trem, one '71 that had a headstock repair (his college roommate had kicked it over when it was new!), and one recent one with a really nice flamed top. Not one word about my Artist Custom. Oh, well. I suppose you're all very familiar with that! They all asked about my Rivera Fandango, though. (Even though some of them had never heard of Rivera).
