I don't think so. I just saw a picture of an all original early Sunburst with two P90s.I'd like to see that. I've never heard of such an animal. I still want to see this picture! I'm cooking up my next project to start in 2013. Truth of the matter is, its cheaper to mod a guitar than to order a new one at this point.
I prefer the Mirage II to the Mirage I that should really be the question. Or Maple vs Koa. Mirage II with a Koa Top for me, I get humbuckers, tone is closer to an all Mahogany Guitar which I prefer but with a top you could die for.
I absolutely love the Sustainblock Bridge. I have two projects that I want to complete to convert a couple of newer Hamers to SS Bridges and the first is under way. IMHO Hamer had/has a Bridge that seperated them from the rest of the market and made them unique. Vital to the Hamer Tone IMHO (excluding the Standard) and thank god its still available to those that want it.
Damn, I loved Ronnie and was lucky enough to see him with Sammy and the rest of Montrose when they reunited on one of Hagars Tours (Post VH). They were as good then as listening to the early stuff. He blew me away coming out with a few JCM Combo's Mic'ed up behind him and ripping it!
Man orders dozens if not hundreds of Hamers from Hamers first day to present, takes them all over the world and plays them nightly all over the world. I pretty much think he has earned his place in line.
