I actually prefer toggles over blades but this guitar is so sweet it doesnt really matter to me...

Yessir - set neck goodness - midnight blue sparkle with a touch of turquoise AND MATCHING reverse headstock - ebony board with boomers, no neck binding - huge 6100 frets. This would have been almost exactly how I would have ordered from the factory!

So, this is the Custom Cali I picked up from our very own Fung not too long ago - I got her cleaned up had some nice pics taken of it. Here are some teaser shots, hope to share some more soon!

Looks like you are right again sir, really tough to tell but I found a pretty good shot around the 1:09:20 mark that seems to clearly show dark metallic flake finish - looks a lot like black cherry to me...

Sure looks like Tommy's guitar to me. Same pickup and all from what I can tell. Maybe Teddy signed it for Tommy for posterity... :-)

Diablo, what is the neck like on your Custom Cali? What kind of frets?

Interesting points Shredmeister - maybe my Cali Custom is a different beast? It has Tall/Wide Jumbo frets - 6100 I believe, 1 11/16 width neck at the nut. My Cali has the widest neck of any of my other Hamers.

The set neck seems to solve the neck thru issue, no? I played my Cali at a show last night and it sure got some looks and a bit of feedback. It played well and may become a regular stage guitar. Having to get re-adjusted to having a Floyd under my hand...

It seemed pretty cool - I like Zander on this actually...Some of my guitar buddies are really into it... I agree with Disturber though, the mix is a bit shitty for my tastes...
