  2. Good luck -- lots of similar bad news stories about this guy on the Gear Page.
  3. Ouch. That one makes my head hurt.
  4. I don't know -- looks kinda Tele-ish to me. That one in the photo above is HOT.
  5. I just posted my "final drop before fleabay" price on the Gear Page: $1,075 -- that would put it at $1,025 shipped and paypalled CONUS for HFC'rs... Got a couple more guitars going up soon, too -- whittling down to essentials -- I'll keep you guys in the loop...

  7. Hey, guys. Selling my uber-cool '83 Takamine EA-360 Flying A over on the Gear Page. Here's the ad -- will knock off $50 whatever the Gear Page price is for HFC-certified bros (so that would be $1150 right now)... p.s. Got a Vector? Then you need this! # # # Here's a pretty rare (only about 800 made worldwide) 1983 Takamine EA-360 Flying A acoustic/electric guitar in natural. The guitar is very Martin-esque in sound and features, with a solid spruce top, nicely figured Indian rosewood sides, back, fingerboard, mahogany neck, and rosewood peghead face with inlaid pearl (mother of toiletseat?) "Takamine." This thing plays great with a neck that's more like an electric than an acoustic, and it sounds great either acoustic or plugged into a PA or acoustic amp. Has a number of little dings on the top, plus a few scratches on the back -- there's a pretty good size scratch on the edge of the upper "V" -- see the photo. There's also a finish crack where the volume/tone control module fits into the side of the body. Frets are in good condition. Comes with original Takamine-labeled case AND original Takamine owner's manual. MASSIVE stage presence and mojo. I simply HAD to have this when I saw a photo of Mitch Easter playing his years ago. Asking $1200 paypaled, professionally packaged, and shipped anywhere in the Continental U.S. No trades -- cash is king! I've got 300 positive reviews on fleabay under my name bizzwriter. # # #
  8. Ha, ha -- maybe I should. I've been looking for one for the past 10 years. I sold my last Ibanez V about 12 years ago when I needed the $$$. At the time, it was the best-playing "Gibson" I had ever played -- beat the crap out of my old '69 Goldtop and '71 Custom. This one ain't perfect, but it feels (and sounds) GOOD. Just pulled the pickups -- stock Super 70s. minus the covers. That's a surprise. Figured someone would have dumped them for Duncans or Dimarzios a LONG time ago...
  9. Just picked up this lightly modified, mostly stock '70s Ibanez Rocket Roll Sr. and Rivera-era Fender Studio Lead (solid state ) amp -- listed on Craigslist for $1000. I paid a lot less. It's got some CRAZY ash-type grain patterns going on. And it's SUPER light. This will make a nice companion for my Vector. Gonna cut the strings and pull the pickguard tonight to see what pickups are in there...news at 11.
  10. (1) Is there a pair of letters stamped on the paper tube chart inside the wooden cabinet? (2) Please supply the number from the top of one of the transformers. I can give you a date in a minute with that info...
  11. p.s. Here's the back side -- I added the Marshall-like mesh stuff...
  12. Mine doesn't look like a lunchbox... How'd ya do that??? Was it costly? Easy? Hard? A guy by the name of R.L. Mott in Florida custom built it for me -- price was quite reasonable. Here's his website... I just picked up an Orange 40th Anniversary sticker that I'm going to convert into a logo for the cab...
  13. Mine doesn't look like a lunchbox...
  14. My TT is my dirty amp when I gig -- that's the point of the amp in my perspective. I a/b through a stereo cab with a clean amp for gigs. (or at least I used to before I sold my Marshall 18 watt clone)
  15. LOVE the red one -- too bad about the headstock crack...
  16. All good vibes headed your way as I type -- here's hoping it turns out to be a false alarm!
  17. Geez -- looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor -- stunning!
  18. ooooh -- loved my old R60/5 toaster -- got pix? in what part of the California Republic do you live?
  19. I NEED one of these!
