This is one of my personal favourites, owned by Disturber (I think?) -
LOL. Spot on !

They arrived Today. A little shorter than the original and threaded up the entire length of the screw but otherwise a good match. I was mostly concerned with the size of the head as I wanted the replacements to look original and they're spot on. I might order their next length up just so I have some for the next time it happens. Thanks for all the help.

I've now got some on order, not too sure about the size of the heads though, the ones I removed were very small. I'll let you know how it goes. Ordered from here. http://www.guitarpartsworldwide.com/Mounting+Ring+Screws+x+10++%28More+Options%29+PWN6TXdBRE14b0RkalZIWnZKSGM

Thanks dude, just checking to make sure I wasn't looking for something too hard to get hold of. I'll take a look on Gibsons site.

I know it's not a big deal but I was giving the Standard a checkover and fingerboard cleaning and thought while I had the strings off I'd check in the P/U cavities and see if the P/Us were original (they were). I managed to get most of the P/U surround screws out but (theres always one) which was fully gunked up and I only just managed to get it out and by the time I'd finished it would be pointless putting it back in. I have had a quick look for a similar screw in some of the U.K. based guitar parts suppliers but all I can find seem to have a much bigger head than the one removed. It has a cross head, seems to be 18mm long, the head is about 4mm and is black. Any suggestions where I can get a new set ?

not to hijack op, but, I love this picture. I love it too. I had an Ibanez Explorer just like that in the 80's, which was a killer. I eventually painted it white, put a pair of SD's in it and changed the bridge for a Mightymite brass affair that weighed more than the guitar and ended up swapping it for a Les Paul. Congrats on the Standard, nice looking guitar, keep us informed on the P/U swap.

I don't think he can deny its weirdness but isn't Fuglylyness in the eye of the beholder? BTW Could that shape be described as S.V? S.G. at one end and V at the other. Or is it a V.G?

Satans six string !

Hi Tommy, lovely guitar, just 10 digits away from mine. My burst is pretty similar top wise and the colour is the same. Would be interesting to know for sure why they have the big dots, could be the same with the bulls eye tuners, a parts supply issue.

Well some real treats here for fans of the weird and wonderful ! Not sure if it counts as its not really a guitar but heres a pic of a Stepp DGX Synth controller. I had one of these in the late 80's during my flirtation with electronic music/synths. It was far and away the best way for me (as a non keyboard player) to play the noises in my synths.

And another........... This guitar, the Himmelschlüssel (translated: "Key to heaven") it’s the original prototype (of only 13 ever made) and was made around 1980. This MB Himmelsschlüssel was originally designed and made by two luthiers far ahead of their time: Christian Müller and Roland Bauer. This particular guitar was build for Timo Gross. An excellent and important blues guitarist from Germany. (Taken from the Fellowship of Acoustics website).

Here' one used by Prince. Auerswald designed another guitar for Prince. This one is known as the Model C.

Hamer "Bucket List"
RichRS6 replied to django49's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
A "Danelectro" headstock? That would be FUGLY!!! Peter does have the best Hamer collection, but I don't think he has that one. They made very few of those - in the late '70s they made a few for artists including Billy Bremner and Dave Edmunds and I'm not sure where those ended up. I think Doc Large has one (??). In the mid-80s, my local Hamer dealer in NC ordered a run of 5 archtop Sunbursts (they were all flat tops at the time) - two with Standard headstocks and three with Dan Armstrong heads. Love those... Oh god, these are the guitars of my dreams, where are they now? -
NGD - Here's one you haven't seen before...
