  1. Blow out the candle, embrace the darkness................
  2. Lefsetz reply is total bullshit from someone whose income does not depend on royalty and or publishing payments. Things change thats a given, but change which means the rich get richer and the people at the bottom get poorer and their jobs become more difficult is not a change for the better. At least the "Music Business" of old re-invested some of the profits made into A&R and encouraging new artists etc. We all know it was less than perfect but the new model proposed by the freeloaders is far worse and will create a situation which discourages new artist and pushes the "Pop Idol, X-Factor" type crap down all our throats.
  3. Dammit and double dammit !!
  4. Not to mention a repro Hamer branded checkerboard strap. Is there anyone actually working in the Marketing Department at Fender/Hamer/whoever ?
  5. Damn, no Sharkfins. BTW What's the deal with the HFC Logo on the home page thats in the shape of a Checkerboard Sharkfin Pick ?
  6. Whoo hoo ! Thats a beauty ! Is the middle P/U a factory job ?
  7. Gold hardware and B&C too ! Nice one. Sounds like a real find.
  8. 1978, Black, 3 Pick ups................. Pics or it didn't happen !!!! Edited to ask if it has a shimmed bridge or sustainblock and is it a long or short headstock.
  9. Looks like what you're after and in "perfect condition" too, I guess there'll always be a premium to pay for these (unless you're very lucky). If you really want it I would get in there before someone else does................
  10. Has that been routed for a Kahler and then filled back in? Scott, heres another one for you.....................................
  11. Thats been for sale for ages, could be worth sending him an offer and getting the fingerboard inlays changed..........
  12. Dave, is this the one from RnR Vintage ? If so well done, it sure looks a beauty. I emailed them to say I'd have it then saw the the sold post had gone up on here. Damn !! Great that someone from this forum who's been thinking about getting one back after letting one go all that time ago. Look after it and don't ever sell it (except to me !!!) P.S. Your inbox is full.
  13. 78 is the new 58.
  14. I'll have to suggest Roxanne. Reasonably easy to play, nice bass line, killer up-tempo section and a classic to boot.
  15. Damn! This thread just keeps on getting better. Dave that's a monster !
  16. Mmmmmmmmmmmm..... 69.
  17. And update the appreciation threads !
  18. Hi Martin, good to see more U.K. members posting here.
  19. Fan- Fucking - Tastic ! Luck bugger ! I don't usually like Blue for guitars but that is a beauty !
  20. Excellent. The record (showing my age again) version is one of those songs which sounds simple to play but I could never get it to sound right. Not sure who actually wrote it Dave or Noddy but they really knew how to write a good pop/rock song. Now, where are my stack heel boots (sorry to mention shoes again Feynman) and glitter headband.......................
  21. +1 For Virtuoso products.
  22. The Sweet - Sweet FA, I remember buying this on cassette tape when I was in my Teens, one of the albums that turned me on to rock music.
  23. '80 Standard. '78 Sunburst. '92 Sunburst W/Floyd. '78 B.C. Rich Mockingbird. '80 Gibson Les Paul Heritage 80 Standard/Elite (not sure what to call it as it has a One Piece neck (Elite) but a Flame top (Standard). '80's Fender Strat Plus. Washburn EC29. (Not sure how old it is as the S/N is difficult to read) Fender MIJ (I think) Squire Strat. Gurian S2M Acoustic. Gurian J-R Acoustic. Framus Archtop from the 60's. (My best Buy, £15.00 from a S/H shop, £50.00 to get the top fixed). Hamer is the only manufacturer I have more than One of. If funds allowed I would have more of everything but Hamers are such a bargain (considering the quality) compared to other manufacturers. All the Gibsons and Fenders I have the hots for are now way out of my price range even most of the Re-issues. My next purchase will be another Hamer and am looking for a 70's B&C Standard. "Hi, I'm a Hamerholic and my name is Rich".
  24. Conorb, I see now, guess that would have been hard to give up. I thought it was a swap for your first born or something easy.
