  1. I have two Brown Note amps. A guy named Moss Hudson built them a decade or so ago. The D'Lite 22 head I have is a clone of an original Dumble Moss had his way with that was owned by a guy that owned a real non-HRM model. It's identical to the original "D". But it uses 6V6 tubes. I also bought a 1x12 combo D'Lite 45 with the HRM mod and 6l6 tubes. Basically, it's a "D" that has internal tone mini-pots to tweak the lead channel. "HRM" stands for Hot Rubber Monkey. If you really want to try a "D" amp, buy an Ethos pedal. They are incredible. And you will be in under a grand. The Lovepedal/Hermida Zen Drive is also a great primer into the whole Dumble thing.
  2. Seriously, I'm not guilty of original thought very often in this life. But I did coin the phrase on this "planet". And nobody will deter me from regurgitating it every single time someone posts a Hamer for sale for twice what it's worth. Deal with it.
  3. Splits won't matter. It's the number of shares held at the price on the date of death. That's the beneficiary's stepped-up basis. If the stocks were purchased for more originally (not very likely), then you might have "homework". DR
  4. You would have to really search for a piece of wood in that configuration that weighed 14.4 pounds loaded. Just sayin'...
  5. Off to someone that will play it and enjoy it. Thanks, Joe!
  6. Mine has never even had the strap button drilled. Dave Wintz told me I could decide after Greg got it. I forgot to mention it and it's still not decided! Frankly, I'd sell mine for 5K. There ain't going to be no more.
  7. My buddy Jim used Phil. His time-frame was, to be kind, underestimated. But the guitar was phenomenal.
  8. His tax basis is easily solved. He gets a "Stepped-up" basis. It's the value in the market on her date of death. Simple.
  9. It's okay, I'll buy enough for both of us! 😎
  10. So, the only thing about this thread that I cannot fathom is that Kizanski hasn't replied.
  11. There's a certain Robin RM Prototype...
  12. I play a Kemper Stage Profiler and two powered cabs. Love it. I use Michael Britt and Top Jimmy profiles. I think the Player would be great, but the Stage is so much better in that you can use Stomp effects easily and have much more control over each profile. If I were doing a gig with just a few sounds all night, I'd go with the Player.
  13. There was a young dude that I was told was a college student and he got up with the band that was there the night I most remember! He was fantastic. Played a Squier Tele through a small pedalboard into the guy in the band's Super. Played and sang three Stevie Ray songs that I can remember (Cold Shot, Mary Had a Little Lamb and Willie the Wimp). Had some kind of Leslie pedal that sounded great. I think my tab for me and my two friends was over $100. And we didn't eat!
  14. He fixed the auction. Kizanski's sphere of influence is wide and deep. Tread lightly...
