  1. Kurt made one for Brad Whitford and one other for a guy in New York (he can't tell me). Both were creamsicle orange. Mine's a different color...
  2. My '81 Vector sold easily for my asking price of $2,400 at the Orlando Show. I think the guy that bought it (Allen Mance from The Guitar Buyer) sold it for near 3K. My '81 with binding would go for more than that.
  3. It will be great to see you again. Yeah, those amps are really a "tool box". They do so many things well.
  4. I'm setting up at the third Sarasota Guitar Show this year. June 6th and 7th, unless you want to pay a fee to get in on dealer day (June 5th). I'm guessing I'll meet a few of the west coast Floridian Hamer Forum members this time. I can't wait. DR
  5. I had one that had a postage stamp graphic. Really stupid looking, but great shred guitar.
  6. The man took $2,800 of my money in August 2024. I've not received one photo or any updates since. When I called him out, he ghosted me. I'll never see the guitar or my money. He said I could have store credit, but at Suggested Retail. Fuck him.
  7. Prayers for you Vic. And for your family. DR
  8. It was the Harvest Moon Saloon! I couldn't remember. Cool.
  9. These are Size 12, but they fit like 13's. Brand new and really nice style boots I bought for gigging. They were $79, but will cost me $32 to send back to Hong Kong. So, my loss is your gain. $40 shipped in the lower 48. Let me know.
  10. The first time I saw Tinsley and the Heartfixers he was standing on the sidewalk wailing with a 100' cord. They were awesome. I think it was Harlow's in Atlanta.
  11. It's a great story. My father the doctor in Orange City Florida had a lab that he used exclusively that was owned by a man named Fran Monaco. Fran was best friends growing up in Pittsburgh with Tony Bartirone (the Pirates trainer). So, I got to be a batboy for three days in Bradenton during Spring Training in 1971. I was in charge of shagging foul balls at the games for those days. When you shagged one in right field, you threw it in to the right fielder (Clemente). I'd throw the ball to him and he would throw it on a line to the catcher (Manny Sanguillen). Everyone would marvel at Roberto's arm strength. After the game the second day, he jumped the fence and I threw him the last ball I'd shagged. He threw it back to me and we played catch for about five minutes. My dad has the end of it on Super 8mm film somewhere, but I've just not found it yet (Dad died in 2022). I know he had it transferred to DVD, but I've just not wanted to go through all that stuff yet. October 13 of 1971, I was a ball boy for one inning at the first World Series night game ever at Three Rivers. I ran four balls to the home plate umpire and they took a picture. As I was running back to go through the dugout to my seat, Clemente shook my hand. In January 1972, I was invited to be the guest of The Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation started by Willie Stargell. Willie's sons had the trait. So, they couldn't fly. They drove all the way to Daytona Beach for the event at the Americano Hotel (Mob owned I found out later). Major League Baseball gave 25K to Willie's charity. I presented the check to Willie. We have Super 8 of that too. At one point, Willie is asking me a question during dinner. He then takes his fork and starts to eat my vegetables off my plate. Everyone in the video laughs. He asked me, "You going to eat those vegetables"? I said no. The next day, I taught both his boys how to body surf. A great weekend. I have the picture of Willie and I in his hotel room before the dinner on my credenza in my office. Needless to say, I'm a Pirate fan through thick and thin. Mostly thin...
  12. I met Parker at the Orlando Guitar Expo a few weeks ago. He used to play with Queensryche. Very knowledgeable and a nice fellow.
  13. Also, I bought a PRS from Lauzon in Canada. Because the guitar was made in the USA, there was no tariff.
  14. The guy that built it sent it in two boxes. The neck and parts in one and the body in the other. He labeled them guitar parts, so I think there's something about finished goods that is way more expensive.
  15. My violin guitar was supposed to be dinged for 19%. I paid $1,275 USD and the customs/duty was $58.25. I think it depends on the country. Mine came from Indonesia. I couldn't figure it out.
  16. I played catch with Roberto Clemente as an 9 year old child. Top that!
  17. It's a really high quality Japanese guitar. Worth every penny. Has Rio Grande pickups too. Ornetts electric guitars
  18. Try a good overdrive through it clean. It takes pedals really well too. And no more skateboarding for me!
  19. The show was great. Sold the Vector, GMP Roxie, '54 Gold Top w/ 3-P90's and the 1991 PRS Custom. But one sale stood out above all others! Our very own MathMan got the deal of the show on my Trademark 60 amp. Lots in common other than just Hamer guitars. The high point of the show.
