You know, when you said that you loved how the '59 sounded in the bridge postion, I was truly stumped! I was thinking "how can he possibly like that pickup in that position?". Makes a ton of sense now. The Custom Custom rocks in the bridge for mahogany/maple guitars. I remember the first time I plugged in my Monaco Elite, I was amazed at how good it sounded. Glad you like it.

If you don't like the pickguard, you can always take it off, fill the screw holes and have it repainted by a pro. I know a few guys here in Montreal who can easily do that. JohnnyThunders is the baddest Vector I've seen. It would have been mine but...I was about a day too late to the game.

I'm with you on this one Zorrow. I, too, prefer the "ugly" headstock on a Vector rather than the pointy one. You should pester JohnnyThunders to sell you his white Vector with sustain block that use to belong to GusS. In case you don't know, GusS lives 20 minutes away from us Hamer is too busy on building orders to even consider doing something as trivial as putting a 3+3 neck on a Vector body. Too bad, they use to be the company that would do the super-cool custom stuff. If Vernon Reid can't get the guitars he wants, the chances that you will are, unfortunately, even lower. Go with Ran Guitars. Looks like they build some cool stuff.
