I know there are more than a few members here who would love to have their hands on a Korina V. As I have said many times before, I would never say that a Momose is comparable in every way to a Hamer Korina Vector. However. the quality is outstanding. I own one of these, and it is one of my faves, lightweight and resonant.

Here's one that popped up FS in Japan today that appears to be in excellent condition with a nice pickup upgrade. Momose has been very slow to make any more of these due to their ability to obtain quality wood.

If anyone here is interested in this, reach out to me and I can lend a hand (have done that several times for HFC members).

At under $2K, that’s a no-brainer!

Here's the Google Translated description if anyone's interested (and like me, doesn't read Kanji (or Hiragana or Katakana or whatever...)):

[Introduction] Momose: MFV K-STD/NJ NA BLK-PG Made in 2019 Madagascar rosewood fingerboard. Purchased new in 2020. Currently out of production, this model is priced at 286,000 yen. I had always wanted a Korina Flying V, but the original was too expensive for me to buy, so I was looking for something I could afford and came across this one. In particular, the Madagascar rosewood fingerboard is of very high quality and is worth more than its price. However, I was unable to play it as I mainly play sitting at home. It was stored in a hard case, so it is almost like a new product on display in the store. I decided to let it go this time. Both pickups replaced with SEYMOUR DUNCAN: Antiquity Humbucker Aged Gold *No original Pickguards replaced from black to genuine white *No original Strap pins replaced with Schaller: S-Locks Gold *Original All repairs are done at the repair shop. This guitar still has a long way to go. I will give it to someone who can play it for me.

[Condition] After purchasing it, it was only played indoors. It has never been taken outside the house except for replacing parts. *I am a non-smoker. Although it is an amateur job, I cleaned the body and neck area. Since purchasing it, I have never touched the truss rod. The condition of the neck is straight, but I am an amateur. I think the fret wear is almost the same as when it was new. There was no chatter or scratching that I personally found bothersome. [Appearance] Body back: Very small dents, line scratches that are not visible Frets: More than 95% remaining

[Accessories] Genuine hard case, genuine strap pin, Schaller: S-Locks Gold, warranty (expired)

[Shipping method] We will reuse the cardboard box used at the time of purchase and ship it.

[Overall impression] I have played it carefully, so I think the condition is sufficient. However, since it is treated as a used item that has been owned by an individual once, please understand that there may be oversights. Please note that we are unable to accept returns, refunds or exchanges.

Dang. I have never owned a V….

Easily on par with Hamer quality. Plus, unlike Hamers, it's not as thick as an LP.

Or minus, depending on your preferences.
