That’s a really nice example. Unmolested, with original case. Both of my Protos (I and lI) hovered around the $1.4-1.5k mark a few years ago. Looks like they were inadvertently good investments!

mine is a twin for that one, just a bit newer, more original but a bit beatup. It doesn't fit in my spare Hamer (Special) case, which is interesting.

These guitars are amazing, my 84 is I think the best sounding guitar I have.. that front pickup is shockingly good

A Kahler was stock ones those models.

My Proto II is great.  Kahler works well for and guitar sounds great. Love the neck and all the tone options with the pickups.

Kahler flat-mounts are, when properly adjusted/maintained, great trems. The bar action is somewhere between a Bigsby and an OFR. They stay in tune and don’t pitch forward when bending strings.

I did a complete teardown/rebuild of my Proto II trem, and it works great. I’m a fan.
