So I went down that rabbit hole again. I found a great playing LP locally, put on my descending gear, my great grandfather’s mining helmet, and all the rope I could find.
This is great feeling and playing LP,  I pulled all the junk pots, grounding plate out and Handwired it with an RS Vintage wiring harness, including the women cap on the neck pickup. I had my friend Josh Thompson over at Josh’s Guitar Shop, go over the whole guitar. Frets, nut, and he made it play great for sure. Then tasked my other Josh, Mr Gravelin to wind me a set of pickups for me. Nice clear PAFs to get things through a lower wattage amp without murdering the front end.

Well I’ve sworn off two things, Stratocasters and now Les Pauls. It’s just not what my ear wants to hear. I’m  definitely a Tele / SG guy.

Conition: Plays and sounds great, the guitar is not a closet queen, someone played this one. The most notable finish is the upper bout. The former owner played with bracelets so the finish is hazy, and textured in that area. Other than that just little marks from being played.

neck carve is a nice full c, just a perfect handful.
weight: low to mid 8lbs. Pretty much the perfect weight. Comes with a brand new SKB Case.

$1700 PayPal and shipping. Included.

That is a beaut and one-piece body, to boot. Great price. It would be following the Bud-Wah to my crib if I didn’t already own the greatest LP in the world.

Do you know the model?  Serial appears to be '06 but it also appears to have 6/32" studs and an ABR.

Sold to me as a Standard, but I’m not 100% sure. The Headstock Logo, the aged binding, the bridge all give it a more vintage appearance than a normal standard. I was at the Chicago Guitar Show this year and one of the vendors had one with the same appointments but a different color (for more money…) it was also labeled as a Standard.

It’s definitely not a Classic, I was asked if it was a “Traditional”?

My guess is, 60’s Standard Premium Quilt. Prices are quite a bit higher than my listing. The couple that I found are 1 pc backs and quilt tops.
