I'm sure he retired years ago. Must be tough for some people these days, screwing up retirement so bad they go back to work.

Not exactly the persona of a hard core rocker, of course. But we took my parents to one of his shows in Los Angeles long ago. He is one helluva great live performer.

Barry Manilow has been playing Las Vegas this year.  He even did a show in California last Saturday.

Yep. The article I read said he had cancelled a bunch of shows after receiving the diagnosis. 

Not a rocker, but absolutely a big part of my 70's childhood and a huge talent.

I loved BM Live when I was a child. Great performer & songwriter. Love the story from Jimmie Walker about Bette Midler's rise & BM's role in it.
