Just listened to Jessica and was very impressed, nailed the guitar tones. Makes you wonder what their own stuff would be. And different people do different songs. I recognized a person and a few names from here (Lexington, KY area), a few pros. But can’t say I’ve heard but one or two playing out.

They really go all out for the sound of each song/band. I picked up a Mather 2x12 pine cab for a song from someone associated with this outfit. The guy said they used it for a project but no longer needed it.

The percentage of songs that they just commit to and nail in every way is ridiculously high.

Even the ones that my embarrassingly merciless internetcriticbrain finds faults with are excellent.

I discovered them about a month ago, or rather, my boss came in raving about them. That led me to the same result as you - hours went by with them nailing about everything. That they've been around decades and this is the first I'm hearing about them speaks to how much I live under a rock (between the swamps, as it were).

When my son was in Lexington as an undergrad at UK, they did a show on campus (or maybe downtown Lexington?), and he said that it was absolutely unreal how they nailed everything they played.  I think he said there were 5-6 core members, but they brought a few other musicians in depending on the song.  I’d have really enjoyed seeing that live!

Just saw an ABB tribute band “The Brothers” this past weekend. The Lex.Lab version of Jessica kills anything they did!

I swear I posted about them here a couple of years ago...   Their Boston and Def Leppard content is really good, the bassist on Hysteria uses the real Hamer bass.  skip to about 1:50
