Willie G. Moseley Posted March 14 Posted March 14 (edited) Given the plethora of sub-genres of "heavy metal" rock music, it's probably difficult for guitarists to build their own (sonic) identity--tone, riffs, etc. Campbell played guitar in Motorhead longer than anyone else. 'Nuff said. https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/motorhead-guitarist-phil-campbell-dead-64 Edited March 14 by Willie G. Moseley 1 Quote

DaveL Posted March 15 Posted March 15 (edited) I spoke to Phil a couple times. Very nice guy… and super cool that he formed a band with his kids. There is some really good stuff in that mid period Motörhead. Killed By Death, Dr Rock, Rock N Roll, Ramones… for all the noise. Lemmy could write… glad he got a few bucks for mama I’m comin home. tommy p Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I only saw Motörhead once, but it was with the Phil/Würzel lineup which I actually liked. Years later I named my cat Würzel. I know the band wasn't ever loaded with virtuosos but I still like them for being what they are (were). RIP to Phil. 3 Quote
