BoogieMKIIA Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Hammond B3 with growl, a bazillion string bass. So funky yet laid back. 2 Quote
Biz Prof Posted March 25 Posted March 25 (edited) The hometown boy from Fayette-nam, NC. He plays pretty well, you know. Might actually make a career out of it. First time I ever saw him play was with Col. Bruce Hampton and Aquarium Rescue Unit at The Attic in Greenville, which was my band's home base. Jimmy on the right, playing a Strat. Oteil Burbridge on the left, playing lines that would have made Jaco smile. Bruce in the middle, playing the "meh-DOO-lah OB-lon-GAH-tah". IYKYK. Edited March 25 by Biz Prof 7 Quote
velorush Posted March 25 Posted March 25 First heard Col. Bruce in graduate school and thought enough of it that I wrote down the band name in a notebook (ARU). Herring is a monster player and seems like such a nice guy. Oteil enhances every single group he plays with. 3 Quote
