Beergoblin Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 The ebay description pretty much says it all. Thx http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 EMGs are gone, original Dimarzio Super Distortions have been put back with CTS push/push pots wired for coil splitting.
DavidE Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I actually gasped when the first photo appeared on my screen. That doesn't happen often...
Beergoblin Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 Ya the flame on this thing is rediculous. Its cooler in person because it really traps/deflects light in a weird way (although all flames seem to do this). Some angles it looks more red, some angles more of the orange/yellow come out. I have a love/hate thing with Dean's V neck profile otherwise I would definately keep it.....that and I have a few Hamers on layaway that need to be paid off
currypowder Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I had a Dean TC V that I sold for pretty much the same reason, just couldn't get used to the neck. But it was a killer guitar with basically the same finish. Your BIN price is a great deal and the opening bid is a steal.
Beergoblin Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 Some days I seem to love the neck, some days I don't, I dunno. I'd like to hold on to it but realistically I need the cash
serial Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 If it was an old one, I would have had it sitting here now. That one's beautiful, but I've got a bug about getting an old original one first. Still, I'm sure these are better/more consistent. Good luck with the auction.
Beergoblin Posted June 30, 2006 Author Posted June 30, 2006 Thx, hopefully it goes. I sold another one about two weeks ago and it only lasted a day. I don't have any bids but a bunch of people are watching it apparently. Hopefully someones actually interesting in buying and not just keeping an eye on it just for the hell of ti
LordOfTheThighs Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I can't believe nobody scarfed this up on ebay. If I hadn't sprungfor a new unit a week ago, I'd have probably been all over this thing.
cmatthes Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I am also surprised this didn't sell between here, eBay and the Dean Forum! That's a LOT of guitar for the money. It might be that the pics with the EMGs put some people off? Every one of those guitars that I have played (the numbered USAs) are extremely well done.
Beergoblin Posted July 1, 2006 Author Posted July 1, 2006 Well, I mentioned it twice in the auction that the EMG's were out, but who knows maybe you're right. I had 20 some people watching yet no bids I did have someone on the Dean forum offer to buy, but backed out due to $$ problems. Meh, I dunno. I'll just relist it I guess.
