Only one nice Sleestak down there, only holds the portal open for a minute and you never make it, he ain`t coming back!! Jack.

For some reason...when I read that thread...it made my head hurt.....I think...I think it smacked of intelligence???!!! J/K/ bro.....lol! ;)

I really think we should enforce a certain number of posts before you can offer something for sale i this section...

then again that would be the pot calling the kettle black, because I do spend most of my time reading and posting in this section ,when here...

food for thought ...I believe the jackson/charvel forum has a 100 posting minimum before you can post their classifieds...

jack is that correct ?

I dont recall , its been so long...and was there from day one , there were no rules like that back then.

John, you are correct. They made the 100 post rule about a year ago before you can use the classifides section. It has really helped, alot of trolls drop out way before 100 posts or get thrown out!! Bonghit, I wish man, my freakin CDL liscence has ruined that for me :-( Well, at least at the company I work for now. Jack.

I think that would be a very good idea. 100 posts sounds reasonable.

The 100 post thing is cool but may be a double edged sword meaning....might miss that 4 digit thingamabob that Barney from Roanoke is wanting to unload??

opposing viewpoint... this anger seems amplified by a 'disappointing' show-and-tease. somehow me thinks drewl speculation got out of hand. this one was just another dud. $#it happens.

we're all a little bit odd, our common thread is lunacy for Hamers. not a good idea to discriminate or restrict, some newbies emerge specifically to sell cherished goods to the right audience of "apprecianados". my most recent addition was an 80 special from someone who had one post asking for email interest tags only... you never know, right?

In the grand scheme of things, what's the big deal letting anyone who wants to post a Hamer guitar related for sale thread here do so? I mean, it sounds like no one is out any money, just a few minutes of their time to type an e-mail or two. We were all "newbies" once and getting to 100 posts takes some people who don't live on the internet all day and night a very long time. It's been my experience that trying to sell things here often brings only low-ball offers (I know I've done it myself and been on the other end too, so I'm not crying about it, just seems to be the way it is here lately) and maybe this individual feels he can do significantly better selling somewhere else after hearing what people were offering him, I don't know? Who knows what the story is, maybe he's just trying to get an idea of what his guitars are worth as a ballpark value, but the guy seemed cool and didn't strike me as a "troll". I myself don't see a need to bust his chops if he thinks his guitars are worth more than what he's being offered here. Maybe he'll post again on the HFC, maybe not, but why not give the guy a chance and not run him out of town just because he's not responding to everyone's e-mails? Just my $.02....I vote to let anyone who wants to post a Hamer guitar for sale here do so without having to post a certain number of times first and for a 'kinder-friendlier-touchy-feely' HFC. ;) OK, we can do without the touchy-feely B.S. ;)

I am not busting him personally, I just want to make contact!! Can`t make offers without the info :-) I do agree, he may be cool, we just want a chance to deal. Jack.

no alterior motives here .... just think there should be some limitations put on the guys fishing values only to run off to ebay thinking they have a grail.

plus who knows how many potential scammers you chase off... losing a potential 4 digit is worth more to me , than losing money to a single post newbie who may have roped me in and then ran off with the money.

maybe we should require prices on all items posted as most forums do?

not sure if thats the answer either, cause its hard to establish values when trading sideways.....
