WTB - Any Sustain Block guitars FS?

I'm thinking I want to try one. No body binding, please. I can't deal with that sharp edge against my forearm. So I guess I'm looking at Specials, FMs, and Vectors. "Player shape" guitars OK. No P-90s.

Straight sale or trade plus cash for my blue Daytona.

Paypal preferred.

Post here, email, or PM.

800+ postings and no sus blocked hamer ? :)

the suspense must be driving you crazy !!!

Five-and-a-half years I've been on this board and for most of it I only had guitars with 25.5" scale and/or Floyds (with some exceptions).

What did I know?

You keep on doin' your thing, man. :)

No P-90s.

No shakee head. I had a Vanguard for a bit, and while it was a great guitar, I kept trying to make it sound more like it had humbuckers.

It was spectactular sounding though my J-Station, though. Neither my Cali. or Diablo could match the heaviness of the tone I got out of that Vanguard though the J. I bet you probably got the same thing going with your Gt-8.

Hi, I have a 1981 Hamer Special that I have had restored. Some boomba had done a poor job affixing a bridge, and I've had a luthier fix the wood, replace with mahogany/maple veneer piece, refinish with nitro, and affix a sustain block bridge which I paid $150 for from BCR Greg, and put two Seymour Duncan Phat Cats. It is a nice little guitar. The back and neck are mahogany with original cherry finish. The top is a clear coat nitro finish that is currently being buffed by the luthier -- maple flame veneer is original. I have too many guitars, but it will be available soon. I have way, way, way too much invested in this guitar to ever recover. But, it's been a fun project. Would consider trade for Daytona.

I can't help but notice that you didn't mention prototypes in the list of things you were interested in...they're pretty cool, too.

I'm taking my Proto out tonight I think. I haven't played that one in ages, but it's still one of my faves.

I forgot, but I do like HBs in the neck.

a proto1 is still my all time favorite hamer...

very functional and an original hamer body design to boot.

timeless in my book !

FJ.Com,

Thanks, but I'm not looking for that P-90 tone, plus I'm looking at a couple right now that have had fewer "Boomba" hands messing with them. :)

Thanks anyway.
