cmatthes Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 I'm only considering this one for sale because there is something else up. Asking $900 (OBO) with original HSC. This was not a catalog finish for the P-90 version in '95, and this is an IMMACULATE example. I swapped out the tuner buttons for pearloids, but the originals are in the case. I am not kidding when I say this is practically weightless - It is probably in the 5lb range. If you've played one, you know the deal - if you haven't played one, they are fantastic guitars and VERY versatile. The acoustic side sounds great, and the P-90s are a great twist on this design (and my favorite). Working on better pics: PMs are fine, email me at: fmatthes at chubb dot com
Jack C Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 That's cool! I've never seen a goldtop P90 Duo. I can honestly say I've never played another guitar that I would rather have than my P90 three-holer. The absolute best Hamers in my opinion.
tomteriffic Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Matthes, why you gots to do this to me now, when work is slow???
Guest Meshuggah Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Buy it just to hang on to it. Sooner or later people are gonna trip to they don't be making them like that anymore and the price will go all unobtainium on your ass.

Hadn't thought about lights, but now that you mention it . . .I love this time of year. Amazing Hamer stuff comes out of the vaults. So far, a trans green Eclipse, a Zebra sustainblock Special and now a goldtop Duotone - with P frickin' 90's!I think I'm done, but if anyone has that '81 baby blue/cream burst Special that I should have bought from Regenberg Music 25 years ago, I'm your guy!
instantkarma Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 I've not had the opportunity to play a Duotone. How does the acoustic sound compare to a Viper? And the electric to, say, an Artist or Newport? Can you get both at the same time?
