Mike_C Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 thinking of the 70's I about flipped when I heard the Goo Goo Dolls covering Suppertramp. Damn can't anyone be original?
bobbymack Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 I can still enjoy riding down the highway on a sunny Saturday morning, listening to The Captain and Me by the Doobies crankin'...
Cary Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 Pat Travers did some great stuff. His live album rocked, a real 70's classic. And how Politically-INcorrect is "Boom Boom Out Go the Lights", anyway? - LOL.
shred dog Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 pat traver now your talking, throw in some thin lizzy and were set!
serial Posted March 2, 2005 Author Posted March 2, 2005 "Politically correct?" "Snortin' Whiskey" (from Crash and Burn, so it's gettin a big ol spin right now!) takes that prize.
kurtsstuff Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 Pat Travers is kind of an asshole...I met him at a club he played at in Coos Bay Oregon and he was rude and basically a bitter, drunk, has been but..I do agree he put out some really cool stuff....maybe he was just pissed cuz my band had the "house gig" at that same club??? lol!!
Hamer95USA Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 Hey guys, I met Pat Travers at the Swedish Rock Festival in June 2004. I was standing on the side of the stage performing to a cool crowd of people. Afterwards, I got to meet him and shook hands with him. Very polite, congenial person. Pat Travers doesn't drink anymore so his sobriety has improved his career and personality. Guitar George

Brewmaster Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 Pat Travers is kind of an asshole...I met him at a club he played at in Coos Bay Oregon and he was rude and basically a bitter, drunk, has been but..I do agree he put out some really cool stuff....maybe he was just pissed cuz my band had the "house gig" at that same club??? lol!! How long ago was this? He is a different man these days, totally clean. If you met him now you would ask yourself if the first guy was an imposter.
kurtsstuff Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 Yeah....I might have met him at a bad time in his life.....he was pretty much in the bag as far as drinking goes.....I'm sure he's really a heck of a guy and I did'nt mean to sound as if I had judged him for life with my first reply regarding Pat Travers....cuz god know's...I'm a real asshole myself when drinking......and yes....your personality changes when your not in a fog all the time....NAH....I'M STILL AN ASSHOLE.....lol
