lonote049 Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Just thought I'd pass this along. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=333392
Jimbilly Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 I think he's going to get to keep it at that price, it would need boomers to approach that value. Killer looking bass though...
mc2 Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I think he's going to get to keep it at that price, it would need boomers to approach that value. Killer looking bass though...Yeah...WAY HIGH on that price by around $1000.
hamerboy_ Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I don't know. I'm not in the market,(my plain black B12L is just fine), but I don't think he's that far off on the price. Especially with the solid maple body and stained neck. Would look great next to the custom order green stained Chap I sent to Peter. -Bobby
cmatthes Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Really nice bass, but I hate the look of a light fingerboard on that. I agree that it is a tough sell at that price by a good chunk of change.I'm sure that the price will drop after a few months though.
Steve Haynie Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Knowing what I paid for my 8 string Chaparral bass in 1995 and what it would cost to have that green bass built, the price is reasonable. If I could afford it I would take it. Yes, used Hamers go for less, but try to have one built and buy it for $2200.
