  1. Nice to reconnect with some old friends here over my recent Cali and Chap sales. So, I found some more goodies in the kitchen. Here's what's on todays menu: '88 Chaparral standard neck. USA. Bought here many moons ago. Someone gave it a vintage tint at one time. Finish is checking at usual spots. Frets are really clean. Tiny crack on fretboard past the 24th fret. $300 plus actual shipping. Next up: '97 Diablo II neck. USA. Project purchase a while back. Frets show normal cowboy chord wear. Nowhere near fret dressing time. Bigger C shape typical of era. $300 plus actual shipping. Lastly: '97 Diablo II body. USA. So... The Floyd route was extended to accept a GOTOH GE1996T. Semi-pro job. Pickup rings were used to secure aftermarket pickups; hence the screw holes. Other than that a solid body. I left the electronics intact. I do have the trem cavity plate. $300 plus actual shipping. Please feel free to ask any questions. More pics by request. Prices are negotiable. Let's make a deal! -Bobby

  2. Thanks for the kind words, Dr. Fung. Word has it you've got some cool stuff as well! -Bobby
  3. SOLD Up for grabs my '88 Californian standard w/headstock repair. A fellow HFCer helped procure this for me. I've had it between 5-10 years. Repaired before I took ownership. No issues since I've had it. Scalloped 12th fret up. If it wasn't done in Arlington Heights, it was done by a pro. I'll find a case or gig bag for it. I don't know, how does $750 plus actual shipping sound? If you have any interest, go ahead and make me an offer. The worst I can say is no. -Bobby
  4. Hey, gang, That was mine. And, yes, it went quick. I did try to post it here since I've been a member for 20 years or so. I couldn't load my pics. You'd think I'd know how by now. I've done it in the past. But every pic exceeded the size limit. While I don't have any more Chap set neck projects, I do have more Hamer gear that I'm ready to move on to someone else; preferably here. Any help with the pic issues would be greatly appreciated by me and possibly you! -Bobby
  5. Hey, Peter. Long time. Hope all is well. We don't often see 12vers of the guitar type around here. Funny how sometimes oddities come in waves. Do you have any hidden jems of this variety that are looking for a new home?

  6. Almost every song on the new Foo Fighters disc, "Waisting Light". -Bobby
  7. I immediately thought of "Blinded by the light" but Poe beat me to it. How about "Little Suzi" by Tesla. Yep, that's a cover. And Ace Frehley's "New York Groove". -Bobby
  8. From a fellow rider, get well soon. -Bobby
  9. Uhh... +1. I tried. I failed. -Bobby

  11. My main rig for years has been a 1978 Marshall JMP 100 (2203) with a Keeley modded BOSS SD-1. I've had Boogies and even a Soldano SLO 100. That old head and pedal are it for me... At least until I can afford a CAE 3+ SE. -Bobby
  12. He's from Solon, up here in northeastern Ohio. I'm good friends with a cousin of his. I met him when he was still in Damn Yankees. Great guy with no ego. -Bobby
  13. Dave, I'm in your corner. And I had a talk with the man upstairs. -Bobby
  14. Acoustic: "Broon's Bane" 'Lectric: the intro to "Mean Streets" -Bobby

  18. For those of us who ride; If I saw a guy that looked like that on the road, I'd throw a stick in his spokes. It's hard enough for us to get respect on the road. -Bobby
  19. I'll take the BOSS eq if it's still available. -Bobby
  20. Joe Satriani - Engines of Creation. Unlistenable. Metallica - St. Anger. The worst snare drum ever recorded. And the de-tuned guitars didn't help much either. Why pretentious? Because both acts thought they could survive jumping on a musical "bandwagon", changing their style drastically without alienating their fanbase. No dice. At least Joe came to his senses and went back to doing what he does best on his last couple of albums. The jury is still out on Metallica. And anything by Rage against the machine. They define the word pretentious. They're political rantings rate up there with Keith Olberman. -Bobby
  21. I saw Life, Sex, Death in Columbus years ago. I think they opened for Lynch Mob. Before the show started, this guy with a tattered suit and broken glasses was bumping people in the crowd and falling over chairs. Everyone saw him and were dying! He dissapeared for about 10 mins. Next thing he's on the corner of the stage. It was hysterical. The lights go down and the band, L.S.D., starts playing. The guy looks confused. We're laughing so hard, we're in tears. He walks over to the mic and starts singing. Those that remember, it was Stanley the lead singer. Best gag I've ever witnessed. -Bobby
  22. I don't know. I'm not in the market,(my plain black B12L is just fine), but I don't think he's that far off on the price. Especially with the solid maple body and stained neck. Would look great next to the custom order green stained Chap I sent to Peter. -Bobby
