mattb Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Is it a user here? Could you please inform us to who this is?
kizanski Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 i assume that's KizCode....LOLActually, it's MuseCode.
santellavision Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I listen to this radio show "The Tom Martino Show" out here in Denver. He says there's really no 100% secure payment method.-Cash can be counterfeit.-Bank checks do not guarantee good funds.-Bank Money orders can be counterfeit too.-USPS MO's are usually hard to counterfeit, and are pretty safe.-WireTransfers can be reversed.-PayPal can tie up your funds indefinitely if the transaction is possibly fraudulent. One of the only things to help safeguard you is get a Bank Check/Money Order only from a Bank that has an office in your town. That way, you can go directly to the bank and confirm it is good.
santellavision Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 OR, check the seller's references... Hell, I wouldn't buy a toaster from my Brother in law!
BadJaxx Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 i don't have a brother-in-law, but i guess i WILL need a toaster...
kizanski Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 e-check WAS part of this drawn out scam, plus when I called HIS bank with info he let slip, they laughed at what he was claiming(plus, the scammer had obtained info on ME by my phone number)...... we suspect the name he used was "borrowed" from someone who did have a valid acct (as the bank DID, in fact, have an acct in that name but stated they would never have provided a customer with info he claimed to have gotten) finally, the final red flag was the...."I'll have my shipping company pick up the item!!!!!!" BIG RED FLAG...as that's the old Nigeria scam.... only this guy wrote VERY articulate e-mails, spoke on the phone with superb grammer (unlike the crazy language you normally see) PLUS, there wasn't the std "extra" money involved... nevertheless, he would have made off with the guitar, worth well over $1000This person has an ID on our message board? We kinda need to know this shit.

BruceM Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Yeah, I've dealt with Roger before, and the seafoam T-51 I now own came from his place via BadgerDave. You don't need an account on the HFC to read posts, do you? If not, anyone can check out guitars for sale here, and contact the sellers to initiate the transaction. I'm assuming this is what happened to you, right Roger?
tafkathundernotes Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Huh? Is the scammer someone here? Or are they just using the good name of a person here? I'm not following your line of thought.

edgar_allan_poe Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I am also lost. What good is this post if you wont tell who it is? I realize that the name might be a member in good standing, but if the account was hacked we need to know what name the scammer is using. Otherwise this is all useless info.Right now, all we have is.."Beware! There is a scammer about!"..not to be rude but...no shit. They are always about. Without any solid info, this is all useless.
MCChris Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 i assume that's KizCode....LOLActually, it's MuseCode.Only when I'm on vacation. Then, it's KizCode.But yes, indeed:DMK, LI
BCR Greg Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Roger, speak up on who it was, or shut up. Conjecture breeds distrust.

BCR Greg Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 So.... Instead of helping anyone else who MAY be victimised by your so-called scammer, you hide your head in the sand. Classy.
