Does your Studio 22+ have the three toggle switches or the three rocker switches?

Love those amps...

Loud little F'ers!!

I'm hoping for about $475 on the Mesa.

I think they are loud enough for most jams/gigs. I usually throw an sm57 in front if its a big room.

I don't play metal, only some country, blues and classic rock, so someone else may be better able to address the high-gain issue

Mail sent on the Mesa.

If for any reason you do not get it, could you please write to me at jspichiger@alumni.haas.org

hepkat,

I have emailed you a few times, since August, to say that the Mesa amp you sold me was not what you advertised for sale in this thread.

I thought something terrible had happened to you, from the lack of response, but I see you have continued posting since. Or maybe you did respond, but I did not get it for some reason. That is why I am trying to contact you here. I did get all your responses before the sale though.

It is a Studio 22, not 22+. It does not have the two Master volumes the 22 have. Just one.

Tha was the reason for me to buy it, after reading both reviews, but I got something else.

If you want to chat off-board, I am still at the address you have, jspichiger@alumni.haas.org

Thanks.

If it has the 5 band EQ, it's the Studio 22+. If it doesn't, it's just the regular Studio 22.

Are you sure?

That's what I thought also, at first. But I understand Mesa/Boogie did a "second version" of the Studio 22, including the EQ, which is apparently what I got.

Later, they did the 22+, including a second Master Volume. I did not get that.

Like this. It says "22+" in the front. Mine did not.

hepkat, you do not seem to care at all, do you?

After 10 years of buying tons of stuff from the great people on this board, it seems I have been screwed at last. :(

Three Toggles. Oh, I failed to mention it has the 5 band EQ as well.

If it has the 5 band EQ, and/or the Master Lead Volume, it's a Studio 22+. If it lacks the Master Lead Volume (the 5band EQ was an option only on the 22+), it ain't a 22+. It should also say "Studio 22+" in the lower right corner. If it just says "Studio 22", again, it isn't a Studio 22+.

Jorge, do you have a pic of the face of your amp?

Here's mine (a 22+ w/EQ)

Thanks Chris, but I believe that is not correct.

Mesa/Boogie improved the 22 with the EQ, then produced the 22+, made either with or without the EQ.

What makes the 22+ is the second Master control, which solved the difficult matching of both channels, the main problem of the Studio 22.

These are crappy pictures, sorry about that. It does not say 22+ either, it says clearly "Studio Series". It is simply a second generation Studio 22.

Whatever it is, not being a Studio 22+, it's clearly a different amp than advertised.

Here is what I was sent. It could be a mistake from the seller, but not responding neither to mails, MPs nor HFC posts leads me to believe what kind of "sale" this was. It's sad being had, but sadder having being here.

Jorge:

It may not have been what you were looking for but I believe that is the Studio Series amp introduced before the .22, about 1985. I may be wrong but I think it is pretty rare.
