matchful Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 1995 Hamer Duo Tone Goldtop USA - Got to sell to pay some overdue G.A.S. bills. Neck pickup SD '59, bridge Dimarzio Air Classic). Sounds great, has had a neck heel repair. I bought this last year and it arrived to me in two pieces. The neck had snapped right off at the heel. Good old UPS would not take any responsibility, so I paid to have it repaired. I had it professionally reset and solidly repaired locally, although I bet BCRGreg would have made it look a little prettier! Cosmetically, it still shows the signs of the break ( finish, etc..), but is very stable. It is strung now with high tension 11's and it stays it tune better than my Eclipse! Very stable, satifaction guaranteed. If you don't like it, let me know and I will happily return your money minus shipping (maybe then I will come to my senses!!) Also, the pics do not reflect it well, but there is a hairline crack on the spruce near the 3 holes that the prior owner repaired by attached a small flattened "dowel" inside to support and prevent any further cracking. Includes non Hamer beat up case, but it does the trick. Normal 90's mild Hameritis. I couldn't keep the duotone and get the sunburst, so at least the duotone will stay in the family. It's a great guitar exactly as matchful described, and I know brooks will like it.
