teejayh Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 am thinking of trading my guitars (see picture) for just one guitar. I may keep one of the ones in the picture for a backup. I just have too many here that I dont use now and think I may just get from a local dealeror keep one of these. I don't really want to go the ebay.com selling method because I am tired of taking such a hit on ebay and paypal fees. So anyway, all of these are for sale. Local pickup in the Philadelphia area is ok too. I ship UPS ground the day after payment clears. Paypal (if you split the fee with me is ok). USPS money orders are good too. No personal checks please. See my signature for what guitar models they are. Email or pm me for more info and pictures. The guitar family picture is a bit blurry (my digital camera is good, I just take lousy pictures) and also one guitar is missing from it and that is a Reverend USA Slingshot in the medium blue color (separate attached photo). All of the guitars are in excellent condition. Most are mint or like new. Here they are: PM or email me for more information and pictures. Thanks. TJ
cmatthes Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Nice stuff there! Just note that you will take a MUCH bigger hit trading in to a dealer than if you sell them on eBay - even with fees and Paypal nonsense. You'd be out hundreds (or more!) if you work a trade.Really.
Craig S Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 +1 on staying away from a dealer.. I'm kinda of heading down the same road. As much as I don't like it my first piece went to Ebay last night. If you get a generous dealer you might be able to pull off a good consignment deal, not likely though.
DavidE Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 List your prices for each guitar and you might sell something here.Try Craigslist.com too

I think you mean "craiglist.com" is the one you like and Craigslist.com is the one if he should try for selling something. Peter

teejayh Posted September 27, 2007 Author Posted September 27, 2007 Hi and thanks for looking. At this time I really don't know what I want so I am just going to try to sell everything and then go from there. I don't play as much as I used to and I am not in a band anymore so everything is up in the air. I will be posting everything up on ebay and craigslist next weekend. I have been talking to some other members on different guitar forums and think they are right about selling them outright and not trading them in. Trading equipment in really does cost you a lot in the long run. I have lowered the sell prices on just about all of the guitars and amps. Hopefully they will sell on a guitar forum before I put them on ebay. If anyone is interested in a bulk (more than 1 item) let me know and we can work something out. Thanks again for all the notes and suggestions. I do appreciate it. teejayh Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 The LP Honeyburst, Tele, and SG Classic are sold. I lowered the prices a bit on the others just to possibly seal some deals/inquiries but this is probably the last price break. Also, the remaining equipment is now on Craigslist for sale. Contact me soon if you want to make a deal. Just please no ridiculous offers - One guy wanted something for a LOT LESS than what it cost to make it I bet.... Thansk, TJ
serial Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Those 57 RI Historic goldtops are NICE guitars and that's a really good price. If you're thinking about getting a humbuckered LP, that's the way to go. IMHO, they're much better than the current Standards (I've played a bunch of both).
