elduave Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Title says it all. I had a feeling this color would work with satin, and it sho' did. I actually dig the different shades on the back (over Mahogany body and Maple neck). Wide random flame, 9.5 lbs, MOP logo. $3100 list, $2480 street, call for Rocketeria price. Thanks for looking.
Guest pirateflynn Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Yeah, I like the two-tone back also. Sweet look in satin !
LordOfTheThighs Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I'm not really a fan of the Monaco guitar (in the looks department, that is), but as a bass, it looks KICK - ASS. Great looking bass!
gfc55 Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Yep, I like the Mahogany back and the wide flame front in clear satin. Good call!
cmatthes Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Holy shhhh...(gack!) That's freakin' amazing, EL.
elduave Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 It worked y'all, thanks. George, I was gonna unveil this on the Dude Pit Bass Forum but I wasn't sure the of the protocol. CM, you know this was supposed to be a Newport Bass but we got a "not at this time". BTW folks, if you want your custom order fast, just go stock and change the color. This and the Orange Special where both ordered in September!
Guest pirateflynn Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Newport Bass ......WHAT? Great idea!I'm with these guys, the Monaco bass is the best of the series. Sweet, sweet.
elduave Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 Newport Bass ......WHAT? Great idea!Gotta give it up for Chris M. He's my consultant. To think, I was gonna poo poo his idea of moving the logos on the Zandards! So, which of my picture settings is the lesser of 2 evils? The sunshine/grass motif or the freshly painted wall under halogen (I think) lighting?
cmatthes Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I'm digging the wall shot. Classic. Especially when there's a wind blowing...
Guest pirateflynn Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Gotta give it up for Chris M. He's my consultant. Well ..... Cheers to Chris! Rockin' Rock Stock!
MR714 Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Very sharp! Now if we could only get rid of those knobs!Newport bass?!?!?!?!?...that would rock as an 8 string bass!!!
bbobb24 Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I like the wall shots, and the idea of a Newport bass sounds like it would be flat out awesome!!!
