peedenmark7 Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Alright I have 4 Hamers, in pretty much all their standard colors that I like. I am going to be ordering a Artist Custom this week (canceling a heritage in favor of a hamer). As it stands now I have hamers Aztec Gold, Indigo Blue, Amber Burst, and Honey finishes. I guess I am going to have to order a custom color. There are some cool custom colors on Willcutts website. I just really want some ideas. I am very partial to lighter colors. Yellows, Blues, Oranges thing like that. I just have no idea what would go good on this particular guitar. I have never had the problem of not knowing what I want colorwise until now. I am thinking about going natural for the first time...not sure though.black and white graphics work well...think serials old special ,then shoot for the stars.
serial Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 just playing around for an idea... on an artist custom of course.. Holy crap dude. How do you do that. That looks pretty spot on for what I was thinking. I think I was just 100 percent sold on a color. Thank god this has been driving me insane for almost a week. I dont think I would want to call it the same name as Anderson does though. Something with space might be cool. I dont want it to just be called a generic blueburst because its so much more. How bout Twilight Burst? That really looks good on a standard.... HOLY CRAP DUDE?! That's an understatement I think! I like Twilight Burst, but that one's soooo freaking cool, what about "Glacier Burst"? Here's a pic of the FIRST blueburst Hamer...
Guest brinkmanship Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 This baby is ordered! Here are the specs:Hamer Artist CustomCustom Blue Burst (anyone think twilight burst is cool?) w/ Natural Back10 Victory InlaysBrazilian Board6100 FretwireBound F-HoleShould be here by June hopefully. Thanks for everyones input. I will be sure to post some awesome photos as soon as I have it. Special thanks to Foodermon for the awesome mock up.The bound F-hole can be cool. Does the Artists Custom include a bound headstock or is that another option? It will have a bound headstock. I dig the name Glacier burst ALOT, I might go with that one. Twilight skies can be more colors than blue...that was the only reason I didnt name it that yet. Frank Rindone just put it in as Blue Burst for now, he said I can change it later. Something about the computer wont let him put the order in without a color. I am just waiting on the prints I ordered to come back so I can mail them in and start the color process. I will post photos of the Chips (those are those square finished blocks everyone got, thats what frank at hamer called it) as soon as they get here.
hamertek98 Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Glacier Burst is cool. Can't wait to see it. Are you sure you don't want trapezoids before the close off date 12/21/07, and get Victorys on your next one? Just kidding , no pressure at all.

When I ordered my Talladega in Oct I was told I wasnt allowed to order crowns on that model. I thought they might have been not offering them anymore.
hamertek98 Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 I'll try and find the post for you. I coulda swore I read that Traps close off date was in December. I think Elduave started the thread.Edit: My bad. I should have said Crowns instead of Traps. I didn't distinguish between the two.

I think Elduave started the thread.Traps are only available on Standards and that gets cut off at the end of the year. And anything that says "Custom" in the model name now gets the bound headstock treatment, as I understand it.Oh, that Standard, only in about the middle color in that burst, is pretty close to something wicked coming my way.
elduave Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 Y'all. If you want crowns, as in the inlays that currently come on a Standard, the orders need to be on Frank's desk by this Friday morning the 21st of Dec. Holler.

I dont want them...but even if you buy a standard you cant get them after that date? So gone all together? Never mind already read the old post. It has been answered. Strange I didnt want them before I knew I couldnt get them...heh nah I dont want anything that looks remotely related to gibsons....oh wait victory inlays look quite a bit like the inlays on a Johnny A! How old are victories? Do they predate the Johnny A?
hamertek98 Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 Thanks Dave. So you can get them on other guits?
elduave Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 You can get 'em on anything, 'til Friday...
cmatthes Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 I've got to call you...no I don't...yes I do...no I don't...yes I do... (aw, crap!)
