Hamerhack Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Ha! "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" indeed! This guy's version is kinda cool. (One guy playing bass, slide, and singing at the same time).
guitarzandstuff Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 What was Bernie Taupin thinking?http://cgi.fark.com/cgi/fark/youtube.pl?IDLink=3332397I Love it!!!
DavidE Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 In some ways, I wonder if Shatner's version isn't the BEST version! I love how serious he is.
El Kabong Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 That's better than Larry from 'Three's Company' doing 'All of Me'.
mirrorimij Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I was wondering where this came from.http://youtube.com/watch?v=Oujwmiy-dWk
geoff_hartwell Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I heard a KILLER version of Rocket Man done solo acoustic byJason Mraz live on 107.1 the peak (in NY), a couple of years ago andI almost drove off the road, it was so good. He's the guy that became famous for his song "The Remedy". My buddy Mike Bram is playing drums with him now.I don't know if he still does it live, but you might be able to find an archive of it,maybe through the peak's site. One of my all-time favorite songs.
elduave Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 This one, complete with 2 false starts, stinks of unshowered fat guy.
Guest pirateflynn Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 That's great song. But, I'm a huge Elton fan with the opinion that a few of his early albums are some of the best of that era. That sounded really good, Dave.
Punkavenger Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 What was Bernie Taupin thinking?http://cgi.fark.com/cgi/fark/youtube.pl?IDLink=3332397Thats so bad its good!

CamptownShaker Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 My favorite cover was produced by the radio show "This American Life" in which a band was assembled from musicians posting in the classified ads looking for a band to play with. Especially if you like theramins. mp3 here http://www.thislife.org/Radio_Episode.aspx?episode=223
