Velcro on Pedals

I use velcro to hold my pedals to the pedalboard. I prefer dual lock, but I haven't seen sheets of it to attach to a board like the carpet I have.

Anyway, I've always put the plastic hook side on the pedals to stick to the carpet.

Recently, I bought two used pedals and they both came with velcro, but the carpet part, on the bottom.

Anybody else put the carpet part on the bottom? I thought it was weird.

I bet the majority would put the Velcro like you and I. Hook on the pedal and the Loop on the board. Most likely because many boards are carpet covered to start with.

On my 1st pedal board I put the carpet side on the pedal. Years later, I realized I should not have done it that way. :angry:

Pedals I have bought with velcro had the hook side glued to the pedal for a carpet covered board.

My pedalboard (when I actually use it) is home-made out of wood so I use the soft velcro side in long strips on the board. The hook side on the pedals come in handy when I just wanna take one or two and the stage is carpeted.

hook side on the pedals is how i apply it to my pedals!

most boards ive seen have the carpet on them.....
