kizanski Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 How could it be that BTMN has not grabbed this one yet? Dean Baby Explorer '82, Red, Carvin pickup installed, Made in USA, No case, EC-, $295 ...at Dave's.
JustKid Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 May be because it's already gone. Just trying my best guess.
kizanski Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 May be because it's already gone. Just trying my best guess.Well someone snagged it this morning then. Was it you? Gene? Ervin? Or some other Mini Me Guitar Man?
JustKid Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 in fact it wasn't that mini after all, 24 3/4 , just smaller body, which works for me. I'll see her in a cpl of days and give her a thorough examination. Thanks fot the tip , man !

That's perfect.in fact it wasn't that mini after all, 24 3/4 , just smaller body, which works for me. I'll see her in a cpl of days and give her a thorough examination. Thanks fot the tip , man !Well, I don't care how you look at it, the guitar is a Mini. Sure it's Gibson scale, but there's a reason they call it a "baby." I'm glad someone here snagged it, though. Even if it is a Dean.
serial Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Cool score-I was actually dialing (well, pushing buttons) Dave's when I saw your post.
sw686blue Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I should have bought it for my daughter...Congrats anyways dude!
JustKid Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 MIni-shmini. My little one will play with it. I do not like the way she looks at my Hamers. So that one will do. By the way, the one I really want would be KK's Mini V Hamer, anyone seen one around? Did they even make any? Coz I'm thinking bout chopping that fin off of my RR1. It's so damn long...
cmatthes Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 They only made them for him. As far as I know, the only one he doesn't still own is the white one that he gave to a tech. That one sold a few years ago. I also know where an exact replica of his red studded one is, correct headstock, logo, etc., don't think the current owner has decided to sell it yet, but he's got my number when and if he does!
JustKid Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Another piece of "Guitar Math" that I will no doubt adopt in a few days! That's perfect. be4 that it was a "smoking math" - like- " ah..what the heck...140 bucks...carton of cigarets" - so I quit smoking! Now it's "Gaz Math" - well ... 3 fill-up's, or 4... With the gaz pricez runnig up like that, I'll switch to hot air baloon to get to work. They only made them for him. If I could only get the correct measurements, I'd have one built, that studded one. This is 20+ yrs old itch.
BTMN Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Four people sent me that link. If it had been Natural I would have snapped it up. As it was I nearly did but I held off a lil to long I read. Not a bad price.
serial Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 If I could only get the correct measurements, I'd have one built, that studded one. This is 20+ yrs old itch.Easily done. I was actually going to make one, but never got around to it. If you can scare up an old Hamer Scepter Vee, cut down the beveled portions and, viola, KK Mini Vee! I had one around (just the body/neck) for a few years intending to do that, but ended up selling it off to someone here. It'll have to be like the one he had with boomers and Scepter headstock, not the one with crown inlays, but what the heck?!
