specialk Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Ouch!Sorry to see you let it go, bro. Looks like a nice one and I hope you get out of it what you want. skPS... I can see why you mistook it for an Artist. I would too.

unfun 75 Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 I thought all Vanguards were platinum metallic? I think your guitar is an Artist Korina P90.
atquinn Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 I thought all Vanguards were platinum metallic? I think your guitar is an Artist Korina P90.That's how I see it as well.-Austin

There is nothing that indicates it's an Artist, and the serial # is around the time they were cranking out Vanguards...so I figured it was a vanguard. Here's the link that made me change my posting:http://www.musiciansfriend.com/document?do...mp;src=3SOSWXXAIn any case, it's f'ing beautiful and plays awesome! :-)If anyone here knows for sure, please let me know. Serial # is 050451. -slim
stonge Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 I'm pretty sure that when these were first created, the guitars were named Korina Vanguards. About 10 minutes later, Hamer renamed the model Artist Korina. Give it another 10 minutes, and they'll change the name to Korina Artist Standard Custom Protoype Phantom Limited...Those are great guitars - good luck with your sale!

cmatthes Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Stonge is correct about the "Korina Vanguard" name - I think I still have an ad with that name in the ol' archives.Very cool guitars, no matter what you want to call it.
fruhike Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I prefer the term Korina Vanguartist.I have one just like this. Excellent guitars.
JGale Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 No doubt one of the prettier "plain jane" guitars coming out of forge.
