Rocktuna Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 OK I'm not trying to have an Ebay auction. I really don't know what to ask for this guitar.Hamer Californian, USA, Red Sparkle finish, with some gold undertones, really pretty. Actually the metal flake looks larger that my other Cali's. Couple chips in the finish on the edge, not as bad as they look with the flash. The tip of the headstock looks like a cat chewed on it. Once again not as bad as the flash. The ugliness on the back is scotch tape residue where the previous owner had a picture taped to it. I assume Goof off or something would take it off but I'm not that braveEbony board, boomers, ZERO I repeat ZERO fretwear. I assume all original parts, never opened it up2 trem bars inc. Action is so low you have to reach up to touch bottom. The guitar sounds FAT even the neck pup sounds awesome.Neck is on the thin side for me, not shredder thin by any means, not narrow eitherThe case is dirty with sticker residue on it but all latches work and the tolex is only scuffed in a couple spots. The only one I could find sold for $1800.00 but it had a custom finish so Please any input would be helpful. After I get a consensus I'll put a price on it Please check out the picshttp://s29.photobucket.com/albums/c299/rocktuna/Cali/
cloakerz Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 what a tough question to answer. Cali prices seem to be lately whatever someone is willing to pay. I don't remember any cali much under $1000 lately and most of them are quite a bit more. I love them but too rich for me.
Lew Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 This one's near mehttp://www.jamguitars.co.uk/secondhandstock.htm

cspot Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 This one's near me http://www.jamguitars.co.uk/secondhandstock.htm Thats $2600.00 us!! over $3000.00 Canadian!!! zoinks....
veatch Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 What cloakerz sed... Prices seem to go everywhere on these lately. A '91 with some honest wear... Having ebony board with boomers and a stadium sized logo really helps a lot. In the end, you'll be able to get what someone else is willing to pay. If you eBay it, take good pictures, and start the bidding low. Good luck! These are great guitars. I still miss mine...
