Feynman Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Hmmm...good thing I am so loyal to the HFC - I will not be swayed!
bubs_42 Posted January 1, 2009 Author Posted January 1, 2009 Hey if my Sunburst would have sold, i'd be all over yours. I've had a thing for that one since I joined the HFC...Everyone knows to that it's a crap shoot. Remember the 96 Standard that went for 1600, then the next went for 989. then the next for 1200 ish. It's like riding the stock market.
Jorge Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I must say that I am surprised about that price. Not a recession price at all.
elduave Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Good way to start out the new year. I love the top on that one.
Camstone Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Yeah, nice top. Perhaps that's part of why it went high? Kinds looks like the one I bought from DavidE
Crwth145 Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Kinds looks like the one I bought from DavidE... Yeah, but yours is better...
DavidE Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Yeah, nice top. Perhaps that's part of why it went high? Kinds looks like the one I bought from DavidE Rubbing it in again????? LOL.....
crunchee Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 The last 3 minutes were really exciting... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=260337519260I never thought that eBay was that entertaining. Past a certain price point (depending on the item), I tend to get REAL BORED REAL QUICK. What my price point is, is a secret between me, myself, and I.

It set at 1,100 for some time so I was watching it. I was doing other things and kept my Eye on it. You just know that someones going to try to snipe and the last second. It when up 200 in the last 15 seconds. O' who am I kidding, I just don't have a life.

Or when I thought I did. I know what you mean.

I'd have to take time to think about it, though I'll probably be living on Ramen noodles and Vitamins before I sell my Standards. Besides, where am I going to find another USA RN Standard Custom Signature? EVER? I bought that one in Japan, in about 1998, when I was stationed there in the Navy (two year tour), and I found it purely by accident! This was pre-Internet for me, too--I simply walked off the street and found it!
