bulletbob Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 VERY nice trans red Daytona.. Rosewood board, almost no play time on it... It is is gorgeous condition save for a couple of tiny dings on the belly carve..The finish is not chipped.. A very nice USA Daytona that I would keep, but I just bought a Gibson S-1 so this one must go.. Well, unless someone has a really cool trade, and then... well,,, we'll see I posted this a while back on these boards, but wasn't thrilled with the trade offers I got so I just hung on to it...$675 includes shipping, and I am taking a BIG hit from what I payed for it a year ago .. btw, Local pickup would knock the price down a bit... I may accept trades but only for good USA made stuff.. I am seeking a nice old Gibson amplifier with reverb such as a GA 19 RVT Falcon or something similar, but may consider any amp or guitar of equal value.. Partial trade/cash is fine too depending on what you offer... This basement photo is HORRID, but its 5 am and I am not in the mood to take pics... I WILL send some better photos to SERIOUS inquiries... please email me directly, as I don't check this board all that much.. thanks for looking.. bob .... bullet_bob@lycos.com
bulletbob Posted February 7, 2009 Author Posted February 7, 2009 For whatever reason, the pics did not come through although I tried twice...I will take a few better shots, and send them out to interested folks.. If she doesn't sell here its off to ebay... make a fair offer I may bite... LOVE USA Hamers, but my Special FM is the last one I have, and I won't be buying any more. As wonderful as they are, [and they ARE as good or better than any guitar made by anyone], I have found them to be a super tough sell and are money losers for guys like myself that tend to keep changing guitars around . They just don't have "the name" I guess. Same with my USA Schecter Hellcat. Can't give it away,lol...anyway, I am ready to deal if you are... thanks for looking bullet_bob@lycos.combob
specialk Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Hi Bob,Are the photos hosted by a site such as Photobucket? They should post fine. If you need help posting pics, click HEREGood luck with the sale. I think someone here was just looking for a Daytona w/RW board. Try not to give up on Hamers. They are a great bang for the buck!sk

bulletbob Posted February 8, 2009 Author Posted February 8, 2009 well, Its not a 54 Fender strat so its not a 6 pounder, but its not a heavy guitar either.. I have weighed it at 7.5 pounds on the nose... I have some fair pics , but my camera is old so they are not real high res... You'll get the idea.. Its in VERY good shape, some small nicks are all that keep it from being dead mint.. Finish is deep, woodgrain is magnificent, and aside from the 3 or 4 small nicks it looks new.. Interested folks please email and I will send pics,.. a few already have had them sent... bullet_bob@lycos.com I would be happy to talk on the phone, give ebay refs and refs from HC and the Steel Guitar Forum, where I have sold thousands of items over the years.. Everything I post for sale on any forum, is returnable for refund, NO questions asked, if you feel the instrument was misrepresented in any way... bob
carfish7 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I'm good in the Daytona Department but have this available. I'd love to see the Hellcat up close and personal, or at least in a good, clear photo . CJ '65 Gibson GA-20RVT. You get about 20 watts by way of 2xel84's - cathode biased. Rawk!
bulletbob Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 TTT.. No offers yet on a gorgeous trans/red Daytona... I'll drop the price to $650 and that includes shipping... I can do better if you can pick it up locally.. Can't go too much lower than that as I am already taking a pounding considering what I paid 6 months ago... Will consider trades for anything made in USA except another Hamer.. too tough to sell... anyway, email me for pics ..bob
bulletbob Posted February 14, 2009 Author Posted February 14, 2009 More info, pics and lower prices on the Daytona and Schecter Hellcat here..http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums...22#post32848822
carfish7 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Bump to gloat over snagging the Schecter(some of you may know what these California Schecters are all about - superior stuff on the cheap like a good Hamer) and to say Bob is way easy to deal with. That is a fantastic looking Daytona and a must-see for anyone looking for a Rosewood-boarded version. Looks like a figured neck to boot, and 7.5 pounds is a bonus. $650 seems a no-brainer. Heck, maybe I should buy that too! Bookend it with my Trans greenie. Hmmm. CJ
bulletbob Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 Thanks Chris.. I look forward to playing the AS800... The Red Daytona is still here, virtually unplayed and in excellent condition... I will consider any worthwhile trades.. Looking for a good older tube combo amp , but try me, I may bite at a worthwhile deal of any kind.. pics on request...bobbullet_bob@lycos.com
