<Now a PSA> '95 NOS Wraptail Studio in Natural

B)

I helped a friend find a cool T-51 in Phoenix. While he was buying, he found out that the seller had a couple of NOS Hamers from a store that went out of business. I told him to buy this one as well and that I would help try to find it a good home.

- No original case (what else is new?), so he bought an SKB Les Paul type case that seems to fit perfectly

- My first time seeing Hameritis in person - the finish is washed out all around the neck joint. It is all under the clearcoat, as I'm sure you know. It's an interesting phenomenon.

Aside from the Hameritis and case, this is essentially a brand new wraptail Studio. There are no signs of it having been played to my eye.

I told him it was a decent deal, but that you guys could set me straight if I lied. I hope I didn't make him overpay by much too much. If so, I have agreed to make up the difference, so I'm on the spot here. B) It seems to me that these have a few fans around here.

$900 shipped (OBRO - Grrr)

My favorite of the mid-90s Hamers set necks. The maple tops on these Studios is about as flamey as any other regardless of price point. Ths one looks like it has no dings. Belly cut so it's comfy to play.

I like these better than the archtop studio customs of the same era - these are stripped down rock n' roll machines.

By the way, I'm not very confident about the price thing. Honestly I don't know too much what these sell for, so I just made a reasonable guess that it was worth the price.

If I was way off, please feel free to tell me. I will have to admit I was wrong, but I've been married ten years, so I'm pretty good at that.

I had one that was almost identical. Bought it from Makin Music here in L.A., about 1995. It was my first Hamer guitar!

Seems like a good price to me...I bought my first Hamer about 2 years ago, which oddly enough, was a 95 wraptail studio (in blue) for $900...Considering yours is near mint and the market sucks right now, $900 seems right to me (like I'm someone). "I" would buy it for $900 if I hadn't bought 4 in the last 8 months (I have to draw a line some time).

Yep! It could be in Gilbert on a moment's notice. He is a coworker friend of mine, so I have access to it. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you wanted to check it out.

Oh Man..... :lol::lol:B)

Would your Friend like this T51 w/HSC and $200? B)B)B)

It's had the bridge changed to a Fender IIRC and the Bridge pickup is a real tasty double rail Dimarzio humbucker. Not sure which but I could pull it and check.

I might regret this but only until I find a T51 in Natural. :P That IS IF your friend is interested. :D

Thanks Feynman. I thought about it and I have to be patient and stop blowing my wad. I'm saving for a beater sustain block special...

Now a PSA.

My gambling-fool friend has decided to try an auction.

Steal it cheap - I'm off the hook at this point. :-)

Here...

I told him the clinical term is Hameritis, not Hameritus, but go easy on him.
