HamStd Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Hello All: I have updated the listing- Thank you to those that have contacted me and major thanks to those that have purchased. Greatly appreciated. The Mirage I and Duotone are still available. Feel free to make an offer, you never know. 1.’95 Hamer Mirage I-nice koa top, not killer or wavy tight flame, but still nice looking koa. Blended heal, all original, no breaks or repairs, I would rate this one a strong 8.5-9/10 condition, frets in excellent shape, comes with original hamer hardshell case. 2. **Relisted with a price reduction** Hamer duotone- 1993 natural spruce top. No breaks or repairs, original frets in excellent shape, all original electronics/pickups, piezo works great. Has a couple of minor dings on the top that have left impressions, and a few dings on the side but otherwise very clean. The previous owner was a lefty that strung his guitars righty so there is a hole on the lower bout from a strap button. I would rate this guitar a 8-8.5/10 condition. Comes with a Hamer hsc. Sold 2. 87 Hamer TLE-Trans cherry red, bound very nice flame maple top, boomerang inlays, frets original and in good shape, has Schaller tuners, but the tuners on this guitar have been changed at least twice before, Duncan single coil pickups, hamer slammer humbucker, has dings and wear on the back and on the neck and has suffered from the dreaded floyd rose nut crack on the back of the headstock. Repaired by Gary Brawer, not a complete break but a crack and it is a strong repair. I would rate this guitar a 7/10 condition. Comes with original hamer hsc. Sold 3. **Relisted with a price reduction** Hamer Chapparal Custom-1986 in transparent red finish. Nice bound flamed maple veneer top. Ebony board with boomerang inlays. Original OBLs and Hamer slammer pickups. Short scale with the on/off switches for each pickup so a great variety of tones can be achieved. Frets are original and in excellent shape. This guitar has had a hairline crack on the side of the neck/fingerboard area that was professionally repaired/touched up by Gary Brawer. The repair is strong and will not have any problems. Unlike my TLE above, this guitar DOES NOT have the ever so typical crack on the back of the neck/headstock area where the floyd rose nut mounting screws go through the neck. The guitar is a good 7.5/10 condition. This configuration of Chap custom doesn't appear that often so if you want a Chapparal with alittle something different give this one a try. Comes with the original hamer hsc that is a bit worn but all latches work and holds the guitar just fine (a lot of stickers and a few tolex rips). Sold 5. ’86 Hamer Scepter, Black with Red bevels, all original, no breaks or repairs, original frets in excellent shape, all original electronics, original “real” Floyd rose trem, 24 fret version, has had some paint touchups on the body edges and the neck, and has many dings on the edges and points. Comes with hamer hsc. Sold If you have any questions or need more information/pictures (I have more pictures but there is a limit to how many I can post here), please email me at Hamstd@gmail.com. I would prefer cashier's check or money order for the guitars, not set up for paypal. Not looking for trades at this time. Thanks for your time. Peter

zorrow Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 A free bump for my friend Peter on that Scepter! BTW, was it Brad's?
mc2 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I'll get my scepter signed by him if someone really wants that, but seriously, it is a really nice player, a great shredder guitar and just enough points to poke an eye out with. Peter Can you get Dobie Gillis to sign it?

Peter If you can get Tommy Shaw to sign it, it's probably a done deal!

Peter If you can get Tommy Shaw to sign it, it's probably a done deal! I just talked with him last week, he said that after all those cracks about his shorts on the board, he "ain't signing nothing for those HFC guys". At least he was wearing the Doc Martens as oppose to the birkenstocks with socks. Peter.
MR714 Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 If you ever get set up to take paypal, I'll take you up on the TLE/Chap package!!!Matt

HamStd Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 updated post and Bump.Thank you to the parties that have made purchases. Much appreciated.Real nice Mirage I and Duotone for sale.ThanksPeter
sonic1974 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 What's the neck carve on the DuoTone? Thickness? Hmmm.......I believe that one may be spoken for.
Surfanarchist Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I'm surprised there's not more love for the Mirage or for Mirages in general.
sonic1974 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I'm surprised there's not more love for the Mirage or for Mirages in general.Yeah, those Mirages look cool for sure. I've never played one. Are they a lot different than a Studio Custom?
HamStd Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 I have updated the post, the Mirage is still available. Great neck on it (medium shape, definitely not a skinny neck and not as large as the current Vintage cut neck). The best however is when you are playing up on the neck with the blended heel. Alot of tonal variation with the pickups (you can get that classic strat middle tones as well as get a nice humbucker lead tone).Everything else has been sold to fellow HFC'ers, thank you.Peter
