Any interest in a '96 Studio - Flamey natural top

Honestly, I'm sitting on the fence. I'm not sure that I really want to sell it. I'll probably regret letting it go.

This Studio definitely has got the prettiest maple flame top of any guitar I've owned. Lightweight - just under 7.5 lbs. It's got a nice Wilkinson wraparound bridge. Schaller tuners with pearloid buttons. Minor dings on the face. Very clean on the back/neck. Push/push coil splitter tone knob. Hamer HSC. I bought it from Citrus last year, and I'd rather keep it within the HFC.

Caveat: I'm intending to pull the Gregwinds that are in that guitar. I ordered a set of GFS Vintage 59 neck / VEH nickel covered pups to put in another guitar, but I'll supply the GFS with the Studio.

I'd consider a trade for a USA DuoTone or Monaco Elite.

If interested, PM me and let's talk.

Hey Bubba, if you have a cash price in mind, I'd love to hear from you via PM.

Edit:

I've got some Fralins in a draw, so I'd be happy if you wanted to keep the GFS pups.

Sam - I responded to your PM. Shipping/tariffs/insurance expenses in getting this to Oz would not be cheap. I'm not sure that the economics make a lot of sense. If you want to discuss further, just PM me.

Replied via PM. I'll be back online in around eight hours from now.

Definitely not thick and not thin. Very much in the middle. Similar to my mid-90s Archtop Studio Custom and DuoTone. Nowhere near as chunky as the Talladega. Does that help?

It does, thanks. Check your pm.

BTW, BubbaVO is a very trustable person. I've dealt with him in the past and he's the polite, easy-going type --so Nick, there shouldn't be any problem if it's finally you who buys that guitar.

I dunno. I hear he's kind of an ass.

Ouch. Brutal.

BubbaVO the ass had the nerve to have BCR Greg send me some new strings as a gift. What a jerk.

I'm back online - did you get my last PM Bubba?

If that's the one that referenced Ebay, yes I did. If you sent anything after that, nope.

Geez, is this sold or what. Some Aussie is involved. Some guy from Europe who will be in Chicago. You'd think a Renoir was up for grabs.

Somebody buy it before I decide I need one of these.

I've gotten enough requests for more pics that its easier for me to put this here instead of sending back individual PMs - I hope no one minds.

As for the guitar, I wouldn't say its mint. There are little dings on the front that just don't show up. I think the grain and color camoflage them very well. What's on the back does appear. To me this is a very pretty guitar in good shape.

The front...

This "dot" is actually under the finish...smooth to the touch.

The back - nice belly cut on those Studios ...
