princeofdarkness56 Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 That was hot. And just yesterday I put Live and Dangerous in the cd player. Nice timing.
bizzwriter Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Okay. I'll bite. Here's a band from Dublin with some dude playing a Hamer Standard clone...
The Shark Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 The "Don't Believe a Word" version on Back on the Streets is one of my favorite recordings of all time. Great clip from Whistle Test. Thanks.
MTM105 Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Okay. I'll bite. Here's a band from Dublin with some dude playing a Hamer Standard clone... I think he went to Mannys NYC and bought that guitar. He was supposed to come back to Ireland with a more traditional LP or Strat. No one thought that guitar would get them anywhere. I could see myself doing the same thing.
specialk Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Thanks for that! Over-Nite Sensation was a historically overlooked album, IMHO!
kenjones Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I have the box set of DVDs from The Old Grey Whistle test. Here's my favorite:King Crimson - "Frame by Frame"
