Turdus Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Michael Schenker... saw UFO without him in '79. He's coming to my area, in June... with Gary Barden. Not that he is all that old, but who knows if he'll return to the DC area.
cmatthes Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I saw him a few years ago at NAMM (2 years in a row). He was still good, but a little odd offstage. It was right after he became "born again".
Submariner85 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I saw Chuck Berry at a car show in Cincinnati back in had to be around 1980-1983.I remember him forgetting lyrics and accidentally running songs together.
cmatthes Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Ritchie Blackmore. Does he do anything besides the Ren Faire Circuit? I haven't seen anything from him Stateside that I'd bother going to check out - just the Blackmore's (K)Night thing. As much as I've always enjoyed his playing, I don't think I could sit through that without a white Strat and lots of Whammy and Marshall abuse. I'd love to see a Rainbow reunion tour though... I don't get this whole thing, Ritchie...gotta be something about that blonde, but I can't quite put my finger on it! (Oh wait. Nevermind.)
seeker Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 +1 on Master Blackmore.I did get to see Muddy Waters at the Cellar Door in DC. Two drink min, 20 feet away.
DaveL Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Hey, If YOKO can scramble john lennon's brain it kind of makes you afraid to see what this woman is capable of well... I guess we're seein it ha ha
Craig S Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Rumors I heard: Mott the Hoople might do a reunion... I think Ian Hunter is in his 70's and supposedly Mick Ralphs is on board to to do it.... that would be a must for me.. also heard the Kinks might go out again.. I saw their them on their last tour but I didn't get as much out of that as I would have liked.
