guitarzandstuff Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 This is an early possible production model from Roman Rist of Rist Guitars based in Los Angelos California. For anyone not familiar with Roman Rist, He was Peter "Max" Baranet's appentice and partner for 25 years or so. He is now building Guitars under the Rist name and this is an early one. Future Collectble? Who knows? Trades = I am open to all kinds of things / Trade Value = I wouldn't say cheap so please only quality instrument/amp offers etc. Specs: Nice old mahogany 8lb approx. BCR Greg Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Frank, we can add inlays or dots or whatever for you if you keep it.Roman Rist is a god, folks. Amazing guitar builder.
cmatthes Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I've heard great things about Roman's stuff as well. Cool guitar. For some reason, I keep thinking about another L.A. resident, 70's TV actor-turned-power-pop-musician, Robbie Rist... Definitely not the same dude!
Submariner85 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I got this recently and cannot deal with no fretboard markers.I have the same problem. Does it have markers on the side? I have on with no markers on the fretboard and have sort of gotten used to using the ones on the side.
bubs_42 Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I keep coming back to this thread. I love the look of this guitar. Good Luck!
guitarzandstuff Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Tell me more about the neck please? Just pulled it out... (no wiseass jokes) Neck is along the lines of a early 90's Hamer and yes, there are side dots!
