gotta offset a recent impulse buy (oops!), so I have three Hamer USA guitars up for sale:

  1. 1990 Hamer USA Centaura with HSC - ("poof")
  2. 1992 Hamer USA Centaura with Hamer HSC - ("Gone Daddy Gone, this one's gone away.."

1992 Hamer USA Centaura in aztec gold, rosewood fingerboard, non-reverse headstock on a one-piece neck - clean condition (one minor ding on the back of the neck behind the fourth fret - great for locating that position without looking lol). has active gain-boost on the mini-switch, and a trim pot in the back panel for adjusting the boost (kinda like the Vintage S electronics without the EQ trim pots). includes Hamer Daytona case. Real nice player in clean condition
  3. 1994 Hamer USA T-51 with tweed Fender HSC - $600

1994 Hamer USA T-51 with Wilkinson 3 brass saddle bridge (original bridge included). Nice player in clean condition with one caveat - when I bought this guitar a couple years back, you could barely feel the edge of the skunk stripe on the back of the neck behind the 9th fret. It made a trip back to the mothership, and the skunk strip was reblended and the finish on the back of the neck reshot to a nice smooth feel. It's strung with 10s and stable, but I can feel that skunk strip poking up just a bit in the same spot. If I were keeping it, I'd just play it and not bother with another repair attempt since it was stable for a couple years. Includes a tweed Fender hardshell case in good condition. I don't play this since I picked up a Fender '52 VHR tele.

Note: The direct sunlight kinda blew out the colors and detail - the '90 is really tobacco burst with little red, the '92 is aztec gold over ash, and the '94 is the traditional Hamer version of butterscotch over ash.

All prices are for local pickup only - I can ship either Fedex Ground or UPS Ground at actual cost (I'd guess-timate $50 and send you a check with any change so you pay the actual - if it goes over $50 for Ground, I'll pick up the difference). Please check out the linked Photobucket albums, and email me at stongemon@aol.com with questions etc (please use email rather than the PM function as that seems a little iffy at times - no offense to the mods or Ted but sometimes the electrons in the PMs just seem to wander away lost lol).

best wishes, stonge

One of the easiest guys to deal with on the planet.

Stonge is a good guy.

Can I please see pictures of the headstock and of the back of the neck?

sure (assuming you meant the 1992 Centaura - I can photo the others if needed):

back of headstock on 1992 Centaura:

both Centauras have the top-mounted locking nuts (yah! no thru-holes to weaken the headstocks)

assuming you wanted the ding area behind the 3rd fret (ok, not the 4th fret - no wonder I was playing a bit sharp lately lol):

the ding is about 1.5 times the size of FDR's left ear on the dime (not 1.5 times the size of his actual ear - which would be a major flaw lol)

I also added some additional shots to the album linked in the first post (which contains this shot of the front of the very dusty headstock showing the stadium logo):

if anyone needs more detail on any of the guitars, email me or post up here - there are also more photos in the photobucket albums linked above (I think I got the albums set for public viewing, but let me know if I goobered that up).

I have received inquiries about shipping internationally - I'm trying to find reasonable shipping (something less than the sell price of the instruments). I'm also planning to list this on the local Craigslist and the Gear Page in the early part of the week, so let me know if there is any interest (I borrowed from the stash fund for the impulse buy, and marital harmony suggests short-term loans from the stash are better tolerated lol). Thanks for the inquiries.

best wishes, stonge

note: all guitars will be restrung with fresh strings/frets polished/fingerboards oiled and polished prior to shipping - I just pulled all three out of storage for the photos yesterday and none of them were in my recent rotation (so please forgive the slightly dusty appearances and broken strings). The guitars will be shipped in new ULine boxes, detuned but with fresh strings and ready to go (it's a buzzkill to get a new used guitar and having to spend a couple of hours getting it ready to play). I think a few folks up here can attest that the guitars arrive in acceptable condition

The 90 Centaura; I assume it's swamp ash also? Or pretty busy alder.

Is the mini-switch an active boost like the 92?

The 1990 appears to be swamp ash, although the grain is pretty hard to see through the darker tobacco burst finish in person. The sunlight really overstated the color on this one - the middle of the face is really caramel colored and the red band is really very subtle going from the dark brown on the edge to the caramel in the center. The grain on the 1990 is really not that pronounced (although the lacquer checking is pretty pronounced). The mini-switch is passive, and has a capacitor on it that appears stock (the 1992 has the active gainboost board mounted on the backplate).

I'll shoot some indoor photos today to get a more accurate depiction of the colors - the natural light (which I as an IT person spend very little time around) really blew out the color and grain of the guitars.

this shot used the flash, but it still seems close to the real color.

everybody knows the honkin' yellow color that Hamer used on the t-51s (if not, the tele love thread is a good reference - Pesocaster's T-51 is a dead ringer for mine).
