Jeff R Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I have a song I'd like to share from TTL's recent stint in the studio but it's a 12MB mp3 (bouncing back undeliverable from many friends' e-mail baskets) and it's a cover song so I can't do a Garageband site or similar. Struck out on YouTube as well (any suggestion on how to disguise it as an video file?)Help? Tips? Am I SOL?
MCChris Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Upload that sumbitch here:http://www.rapidshare.com/
Jeff R Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 Okay, somebody try this and see if it works ...http://rapidshare.com/files/296847068/TTLOnly1.mp3
MCChris Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Okay, somebody try this and see if it works ...http://rapidshare.com/files/296847068/TTLOnly1.mp3Seems like the download was successful but damned if I can find the file on my machine. This site has worked for me in the past, but I've only done the "email directly" option.
mathman Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 check you pmsedited for ha! once I read it.Check your Pm's
zenmindbeginner Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 You could get the file size MUCH smaller than 12MB with more compression... is the song really long?
Jeff R Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 LOL ... it's a five minute song ... as for the file size and compressing it, let's just say I'm so challenged I have enough problems trying to compress my guitar signal!
Bruiser Brody Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Put it on a mp3 and slap it on yer myspace Jegg. Me wanna hear! I hope it's Dio..
Feynman Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I uploaded it to my SoundClick page - let me know if that is a problem (you know, mixing your quality stuff in with my crap). I tagged it as "Rock en Espanol."Link here for full download or lo- or hi-fi play:http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songI...;songID=8255142Is that Tech 21 tone I hear?I compressed the file to 192kbps, which reduced the file size to around 7MB. It seemed to be a decent compromise in size without a very noticeable audio quality loss.
velorush Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Great work Feynman!Jeff R: you guys sound fantastic! Well worth the effort to post!
mathman Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I see Feynman got it up. It is here also.http://homepage.mac.com/kirk_pitts/TTLOnly1.mp3Your welcome to embed it in a webpage or post the direct link if you want. I have 20 gigs a month of data transfer so it shouldn't be a problem.Sounds Great!
MCChris Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 TTL is a cover band that gets it. They were great the two times I saw them play in April. Well, I was in the same building where they played twice, but I only really "saw" them play once (that's another story entirely). I'm sure they've become even more dialed in since then (certainly evident in this recording).
specialk Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 http://homepage.mac.com/kirk_pitts/TTLOnly1.mp3 Sounds Great! That is good! Your singer has that song's vibe down cold. The band was good and tight. Thanks for sharing! (compression is evil)
Jeff R Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 Just shot four more songs from the sessions to Feynman.Host, baby, host! These are the rough mixes, non-mastered. The final drafts will hit the band's official page in about a week. I just wanted to share with you lugs in the meantime 'cause it's the weekend and it's time to PARTY!!
Jeff R Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 Shot a buncha out at mathman Kirk too ... c'mon girls, let's PARTY!!!!
Feynman Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 OK - They have been added. Thanks for letting me post these - now the SoundClick page will get more than my eleven hits since inception!Good stuff, Jeff.In case it's not obvious to some of you slower members, the songs whose names begin with "TTL" are the ones you seek. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cf...p;content=music
