jetattblue Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Due to unforeseen expenses, I am selling a recently acquired mid-90's Hamer Daytona in Mary Kaye with a Tortoise pickguard. It has a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. It is all orignal. The neck and frets are in great condition and play wonderfully. The body is in overall good condition with 3 major dings in it that go through the finish. I call them major simply because they go through the finish, not because they are huge or something. One is on the top horn near the strap button on the back edge, the other is in the curve between the neck and bottom horn, and the other is some sort of black mark on the finish (not through the finish) on the back edge of the guitar where your leg rests when playing. Other than these three dings, the body and finish look very good. There is some rust on the Wilkinson VSV bridge. But it works perfectly. I will ship the guitar in its original hard shell case. The serial number is 644***. It really is a very nice playing and sounding guitar. I am selling this wonderful guitar for $675.00 shipped and paypal'd to the lower 48.I am new here, but I have been on TGP for a while, and I've done a lot of deals there. My eBay handle is "jetattblue."Here are three pictures of the guitar. I will take some more detailed shots tomorrow morning:http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/je...ue/PICT1268.jpghttp://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/je...ue/PICT1269.jpghttp://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/je...ue/PICT1270.jpgHere are some additional pictures of the dings, some of the hardware, and the back of the guitar. These look a little different because they were taken without a flash on the camera:http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/je...ue/PICT1273.jpghttp://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/je...ue/PICT1274.jpghttp://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/je...ue/PICT1275.jpghttp://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/je...ue/PICT1276.jpghttp://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/je...ue/PICT1277.jpghttp://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/je...ue/PICT1278.jpghttp://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/je...ue/PICT1279.jpg
mathman Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Can you hold on to it for about 6 months? Then I'll be ready. \ Just kidding.
cmatthes Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Did you get that one from Mitch ("Feynman") here?Definitely post pics...
sw686blue Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Nope - not mine. Sounds beautiful though. Well, obviously! It has a tort pickguard.
Bloozguy Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I can vouch for Justin. He bought my Artist Korina a few weeks ago and he's a great guy to deal with. I just wish that darn Daytona wasn't an exact match for my T-51...I'm GAS-ing badly!
jetattblue Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 Thank you for the kind words! I love the Korina Artist, and it has become my number one.
jetattblue Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 This guitar is now listed on TGP, and I will put it on eBay at week's end. I hope, however, that one of you guys wants it. Please let me know if you have any questions.

jetattblue Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 That's a very good question. It feels like 7 to 7.5 pounds, but I will get it on a scale after work today and post the results.Hello...may I ask, what does your guitar weigh?Thank you and best of luck.Hamerfan50

BubbaVO Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Is that a Metallica guitar pick on there? Looks like the ying/yang of skulls on my pick. Kirk H. put mine into my hand at the end of a show at the Chicago Motor Speedway. Best tickets I had - I was standing between the rail and the stage.
jetattblue Posted November 19, 2009 Author Posted November 19, 2009 It's actually a pick that I received from Klein Pickups with an order of pickups. It's a great pick though. And I'll throw it in free if you're interested in the guitar! Is that a Metallica guitar pick on there? Looks like the ying/yang of skulls on my pick. jetattblue Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 Alright, $675.00 shipped and paypal'd! That's what some people charge for a partscaster.
BubbaVO Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Alright, $675.00 shipped and paypal'd! That's what some people charge for a partscaster.I put a Daytona sale that was in nice shape with a Mann Made trem installed. Offered to let it go for $450 if whomever would cover PayPal / Shipping. Someone PM'd me with a low ball offer. Needless to say, I'm sending it off to EBay. Hell, I might just sell it for parts. It might be more cost effective. : ) Rough times.
GaryT Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 well you already know how I feel about it. If I had the cash to burn it would be GONE!
jetattblue Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 It's still here. Any additional offers?
