Guitarseh Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Spotted this refinished Proto at Action Music in Falls Church VA today. It's tagged at $825. I only gave it a quick look, but seems to be in pretty good shape, has the sustain-block bridge. Don't know enough to tell whether the pickup was original or not, but it looked like it fit right. http://www.actionguitar.com/ They also have a 25th Anniv, but I forgot to check the price. Mark B

This guitar has a refinished top, changed bridge pickup (Dimarzio) and it’s ready to shred Gibson style!
lockjawnight Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I know these guitars. That's my home music store. The Hamer is a nice guitar. The posted description in here is dead on. The Gibson is a nice guitar as well although I'm not much on the clear coated top. Since its refinned I'd make a gold top out of it (the back is black) and it'd be a damned sharp guitar. They had a '66 Teisco Spectrum 5 in there the other day but it's gone now.
Punkavenger Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Looks like a cool shop! Wish we had something like that around here.
carfish7 Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Hmmm, that Proto looks VERY familiar. I'm guessing your buddy didn't dig it all that much after all, eh Matthes? Z
