ZVex Box of Rock

Anyone tried one? I've never owned a ZVex pedal and this one seems to be a good starting point.

AWESOME PEDAL!!! I had one for a brief time because I took it in on a trade. Great sounding unit and a very cool package. I flipped it because I just didn't need it and it would just sit around collecting dust.

Agreed. Awesome pedal. Worked great with all my Marshalls. Hell, it even works great with Eleven Rack.

I want to try one, I think I need another flavor of overdrive on my pedalboard...but moving this weekend and my car going in the shop tomorrow, it might have to wait!

Been using mine for 2 years. Nice overdrive + boost. While I like the small footprint, it also has a drawback... sometimes I'll attempt to kick in the boost, and hit the wrong switch. Since I use the drive 100% of the time, it gives the opposite effect of what you wanted, lol.

I like it with Rickenbackers. If you are using the weaker output toasters, you can use the boost to drive the front end.

I had the ZVex Super Duper 2-In-1 (different pedal) and did not really like it that much. It was a lot of gain without being spikey like a fuzz.

This is my main OD, into an Orange Tiny Terror. The boost is awesome with my Daytona and Tally--so cool that I want to just leave it on all the time only then I don't have a boost when I need it for leads I A/B-ed it in the store with some other nice ones, like Fulltone etc. and this stood out for having crunch while keeping definition.

Worth a whirl for sure.
