serial Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 MCChris, I mailed you the white guard awhile back (Munster?), I already had a tort.Serial, I'll always dream about the glitter Cruise! My Fave! What color represents it best in those pics? And what pups are in it? The neck has smaller magnets.Depending on the lighting, either, although more often the color in the body shot.I forget what the bridge is-whatever the stock passives were, but the one with smaller mags is a Duncan Antiquity.I just haven't played bass at all in years (well, I did two numbers with BroChris' band a few weeks back), so I'm considering whittling down my bass stuff.
BruceM Posted October 13, 2010 Author Posted October 13, 2010 Thanks everyone! I've found one bass, and my other buyer is balking. For now, I'm not looking any more. As always, the HFC is the best!
Shark Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I think they look better without a guard too. Never had one either. Oversized headstock, this is one of two made for Jeff Ament. He got one, there's this one and his spec-neck at the factory. Trades? My favourite Cruise ... Simply Awesome!
GusS Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 To me pickguards on solidbodies are part of the design.. i find the cruise p/g to be a pretty original work of art.
mc2 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Chris; you are correct that the best 2tek Cruise ever made is not for sale, but it will not be in Chicago anytime soon. I just checked and it's still in it's case in my office. 2-Tek, EMGs with split shaft bass/treble tone control, Mary Kay blonde .... the only way to fly! You have excellent taste in basses, sir. Those both look killer! I've had about a half dozen and my fave so far is this one....in a flip flop kinda Sherwood Green/blue metallic w/matching headstock (Factory ID card says green) that was the late Howie Epstein's from Tom Petty's Heartbreakers. Something magical about it. I'm not sure if this is the same flip flop they shot some of the Eclipses in.....probably, since it's from the same period and really hard to get a good shot of the true color. Chris....isn't that my old white 'guard on your's?
Cary Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Of course, "Cary" is a "real bassist", so... :o I knew there would be some that took "issue" with that statement
