specialk Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 That there is it! If I ever have the need for a higher power amp, that would be the one I'd call mine. Congrats on a damn fine score.
bubs_42 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Damn!!! I so want one of those. The Stone Poney or the SOHO but the Stone Poney just has its own thing and I love it.

seeker Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 Thanks all! It definitely has it's own voice in the "stock" mode, and the 65 amps "bump" just brings in so many other options. Still have a lot of sonic exploring to do. Luckily, just happened to have a NOS Mullard EF-86 to drop in As far as power, it's not really up there with the big boys. 22 watts clean, 28 watts distorted. But yes, even at that, can leave your ears ringing if you don't use the master voltage control. It's labeled on the amp as master volume, but what it really does is bring down the B+ voltages for all stages.
bruce919 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Great looking amp. Congrats. That are one of those amps I have wanted to try out for a while but have never seen one yet. Need to take a day trip to Chicago & hit a few shops. Along with the Mesa Ta-15.
jisham Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 I just watched some clips of this one on YouTube and it sounds freekin' great! Wow...very nice indeed.I don't know anything this company but man that thing sounds incredible. What speaker cab are you using it with?
seeker Posted October 31, 2010 Author Posted October 31, 2010 Bruce, give it a whirl; worth the trip.Jaye, been alternating between two 1x12s (2x and 4x are downstairs). Both are closed/ported. One with a Scumback 65 watt 16 ohm H75. The other is a mesa-like thiele cube with a 150 watt 8 ohm Fane Medusa. Leaning towards the Fane, esp if I have the SP in bump mode and really wound up.
